I had a few questions concerning
the 6 petal flower pattern.
To help explain it better,
I have make a picture tutorial.

Ravelry Favorites.
The Flower Pattern :
R : 1 -With Solid Color - ch 2, 12 dc in the 2nd ch from the hook,\
 join to the ,

Repeat 5 more times for 6 petals.
tie off leaving a long tail for sewing on hat.
Sew on Button to the center of the Flower.
With Solid Collar - ch 2, 12 dc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join
Ch 3, 3 tr, in 1st dc,
ch3, sl st in the next dc,
ch 3, (starts the repeat)

tie off, weave in your end.
There may be a little gap between
the last petal and the 1st petal.
Thread the tail of the yarn on a needle
 and sew the gap closed.
now choose a button, if you want,
and sew it in the center of the Flower.
The Sparkle Star buttons I found at
Hobby Lobby in the Scrap Booking section.

I hope the pictures help to explain
 the flower pattern better.
This is my favorite flower to use on hats,
bags, dog sweaters and more.

Summer Bucket Hat Crochet Pattern

Ladies Summer Bucket Hat
Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs

My Hubby is always getting so sunburned
while working out in the yard.
He loves working on his tractor, but he forgets to wear a hat.
When he does wear a hat, it's a baseball cap,
which lets his neck get so sunburned.

So I made him a Cotton Bucket hat to cover
his head and his neck.
I Liked it so much I decided I needed one too!

Hat Fits a 18 to 20 inches head
It is a loose fitting hat, and very comfy to wear on a warm day.
I chose to make it out of Cotton yarn,
 so it would be cooler,
but you can use any worsted weight (4)yarn,
and the hat will work up just fine.

We Just retested and Updated This Crochet Pattern with lots of New Pictures and a Brand New Video

Bon Bon The Owl UP sized!!

As some of you know, we had a fun Challenge using
I just love these little yarns.
they are so fun and
have lots of fun design possibilities.

Any way, Back to the Challenge.
The winner Was
Heidi Yates of Snappy Tots
With her design,
Bon Bon The Owl
You can find her pattern in her

I thought it would be fun to crochet one
up using a (4) worsted weight yarn.
As the Bon Bon yarns are 2 or 3 weight.
I used  a H hook, and a bright variegated yarn
I already had, for the bottom and the feathers,
I then used a teal for the top and the draw string.
The bag measures
9 inches long and 14 inches around.
Just the perfect size bag for a lunch bag,
small purse or just a fun treasure bag.

You could even slip some batting inside
and have a really fun pillow.
I made mine have silly eyes!
That is why this pattern is so perfect.
It is easy to make with such great results and
the technique for the feathers is unique.
So just because you don't have bon bon yarn,
doesn't mean you cannot make this fun pattern.
So Go For it!

Fat Striped Bag - Purse Crochet Pattern

Fat Striped Bag Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs

I love big fat bags to take my projects along with me.
I have just re-tested and updated this fun bag pattern.
I released the pattern it about 5 -6 years ago
and decided it was time for an update.

This Bag is the perfect shape and size to take to the beach,
pool, picnic, on a trip, or even to the farmers market.

And if you make it from Red Heart Super Saver yarn---
It is washable. So if it gets dirty or full of beach sand,
or wet at the pool, you can wash it!
This Crochet pattern is for a huge bag!

It measures approximately 15 X 15 inches,
not including the handles.

It is a big fat bag, and sturdy too.
Stitches up easy, quick and really stylish as well.

R: 5  - Change to C1, leaving C2 attached, 1 hdc in each hdc, ch 1, turn

R: 6 - 1 hdc in each hdc, turn

When changing colors, By leaving the yarn attached and switching back and
forth from the two yarns, you will have a lot less ends to
weave in and a much neater appearance.

R: 7-34 - Repeat R 3-6, do not tie off after 34

R: 35 - Fold bag in half with the stripes going vertical,
 with right side facing out,

sc up one side of the bag, tie off. weave in your ends.

(60sc)

R: 44 - 1 sc in each sc across row , join to the next sc, tie off leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn.
Center and sew on handle to other side of bag band.

Add a few stitch to the where the bag handle began to make sure it is secure.

Optional - 6 Petal Flower :

With C1, Ch 3, 11 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join, (12hdc)
Change to C2 1 slst in the first hdc, * (ch2, 3 dc, 1ch2) in the next  hdc,
1 stst in the next hdc, Repeat from *5 more times for six petals,
tie off and sew on front of Fat Bag.

For How to make the layered Flower see Video above.

The Stripes are fun, but you could make this bag
in any color or colors and it would still be a fun big bag!
I think it would be awesome in pink and grey,
black and green.
How about camo and take it on a hunting trip?

I hope you will makes some of these.
