Live Video - How to be Prepared For a Crochet Christmas | Posh Pooch Designs

Are You Prepared For a Crochet Christmas?
Live With Sara of
Are you Crocheting your decorations?
Stockings? Wreath? Ornaments?
Maybe a Tree Skirt?
Are you Crocheting gifts?
 Scarves, hats or mittens?
Do You have what you need for your Projects?
So are you feeling overwhelmed yet?
ya, me too.

See The Live Video on my Youtube Channel at This LINK

So here is what I do.
Make lists.....just like Santa Does.

1. What decorations do I want to make?
Do I have the yarn and Supplies for these projects.

Tree skirt          Yes
3 Stockings        No
7 star ornaments   Yes

2. Make a list of the people You want to make items For and what you want to make them. And Do I need supplies

Name..........Item
Susie          Hat      yes
Betty      mittens   yes
Joe           scarf        No
Granny     Slippers   Yes

3. Make a list of the needed Supplies and then
you can get what you need.
yarn  - red and blue - 3 oz
buttons  -4 1 inch
bells  - small bag

4.Then Catorgorize your projects:
Work your Most Important Projects first.

Work those that need to be shipped.

Then Work on the larger and more time
 consuming projects next.

5. What if I don't get all my projects done?

Do Not Panic.
If you are one who stays up all night and day to finish,
that's great, but you are not having fun is you are all stressed out.

If your projects for decorations are done,
there is always next year.
If your gifts aren't finished... you can wrap up a pic of what you are making and finish when you can.
Or put it away, and save it for next year.

Do Not Kill Yourself getting your projects done!

Live Video - Joining Chunky Yarns and My Turkey Hat! | Posh Pooch Designs

Live Video - With Sara Sach of
 Posh Pooch Designs
Joining Chunky Yarns and
 My Turkey Hat!

What do these 2 things have in common?
 Nothing except,
It's November when people use thicker yarn
 and
 wear Turkey Hats!

See The Video on my Youtube Channel
At This LINK

How To add in a new yarn when using those chunky yarn
can be difficult.  The Russian join Method works great for
most yarns, but it can be a little too bulky for chunky yarns.
So This is what I do,
I lay out side by side the 2 yarn sections I want to join.

Then I just crochet across both of them,

Then cut off the yarn tails later.
I think it works better for the thick yarns,
and lays prettier in most projects.

Okay To My "Silly Turkey Hat"
You can take a favorite hat pattern and
turn it into a Silly Turkey Hat!
For the Hat itself I used my Leaf Jumper Hat
Crochet Pattern
You can find it at this LINK
I removed the leaf pin ... And Added some silly eyes,
a beak, a Gobble and some different colors of
"Tail Feathers"!
All From my Turkey Headband Crochet Pattern
that you can find those at this LINK
And Here ya go, My Silly Turkey Hat!

How to stiffen your Snowflake appliques to make
 into Ornaments.
What you need:
School Glue
Water
Straight Pins
Glitter or Spray Glitter
Foam board
Crochet Snowflakes

Mix together equal parts of School Glue and Water.
I used 1/4 cup of each.

Dip The Snowflakes in the mixture till wet, but not soaked

 or drippy.

Lay them out to dry, pinning them in place for the shape

 you want.
Now let them dry 24 hours.
I place them on my dryer or out in the sun.

For Glitter: Sprinkle a little bit of glitter while they are still tacky.
Or Just use Glitter spray after they are dry.

I used Sparkle yarn so they don't need any glitter.
Once it is completely dry and glittered! Add a hanger.
