Hanging Flower Pot Cozy Crochet Pattern | Posh Pooch Designs

Hanging Flower Pot Cozy Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of
Are you getting ready for Spring and Summer Flowers?
I know I am.
I  love flowers and plants hanging Every where.
This Crochet Pattern is fast to stitch up, and looks lovely when it is filled
with flowers or plants. I have to keep mine up high or the bunnies and
deer will eat them. So hanging flowers is perfect for me.
I wanted something a little sturdier then yarn to hang outside.
I decided to use Craft Cord and add some Beads too.
I used Polymer Clay Beads that I made, But You can use wooden,
plastic or any beads you prefer.
The Craft Cord can be purchased at your local craft store,
or craft section of the dept. store. It comes in several colors.

The Hangers:
Cut 4 pieces of the Craft Cord 40 inches long.
Attach each cord between a sc, between every other shell stitch.
Loop it on the same way you loop on fringe.
Slide a bead or more and tie a knot on each hanger.
When all four of the hangers are attached, tie a knot about 6 inches from the top,
then tie another knot at the top.
Hangers measure about 12 inches
You can always make the hangers longer if you wish.
The Tassel:
Cut one piece of Cord 12 inches long, Fold over to form a loop, tie a knot leaving a small loop,
Slide 2 or more beads on the cord, pull through the bottom of cozy and tie a knot.

Cut 8 pieces of Cord 18 inches long. Lay one cord out flat, Lay six of the pieces of Cord,
on the center of the that cord, and tie a knot. Push the strands down.
Wrap the last piece around the pieces to form the tassel,
tie knot about 1 to 2 inches from the top.
Attach the tassel to the loop of the beaded portion.
Now it's ready to add a pot, flowers and hang.

This Pattern can also be made using Cotton Yarn.
