Valentine Wreath Project

My Valentine Wreath Project
Turned Out Pretty Good, I Think.

Here is what I did:
I bought a wreath form and
the little heart ornament from
Hobby Lobby.
And Gathered some fun yarns.
1st I used the black, grey and white yarn
and made a long ribbon ,
and put it around the wreath.
I also chained the yarn to make a hanger.
2ndly I curled all red tinselly things with a pencil.
3rdly I crocheted 9 hearts using the diagram
I posted a few days ago.
You can find the Diagram HERE.

4th. I sewed 6 of the hearts around the heart frame,
then I sewed the last 3 to the bottom.
I attached the wooden ornament
to the center of the heart frame.
Then I hung it on my door.
I love it!
Do you decorate
for Valentines Day?
What do you do?

What Not To Do When Blogging-

Ok, I have only been blogging
 for a few years,
but I have learned a few things
about
"What Not To Do".  or
Basically
"Things that annoy
me about other blogs".

This is not meant as criticism or meanness,
Just what I have learned, as well as,
Tips to help other Bloggers.

1. If your blog takes for then 7 seconds to load, I am leaving.
I love to read other peoples blogs, but I don't have the patience
to wait too long for all the 'extras" to load. Adds are great,
but not if you have so many it takes too long for everything to load.

2. If your Blog is too Wordy, I won't read it.
If your blog goes on and on about a subject,
even if I am interested in the subject,
I get bored, and leave.

3. If your blog is negative, I am out of there.
We can be sad, bothered and even up set, without being a downer.
Address the issue with kindness and information, without bashing.
Blogs need to be informative, up lifting and fun, so people will follow
 and come back

4. Clear photography and clean pictures are a must.
If your pictures are all fuzzy, or  if your photo area is messy, you loss people.
ie dishes in the sink or laundry on the floor, it is distracting and unprofessional.

The clear version of this pic is at the top of the blog.
No pic of dirty laundry, we know what that looks like.

5. Equal amount of Words and Pics -
To many words and not enough pics is boring, too many pictures and no
explanation is distracting.
I tend to lean toward more pics, then words, unless it is a pattern.
You may be an exceptional writer, But people are visual, they want to
"see" what you are talking about.

These are just my opinions,
and meant as a help to other bloggers.
Hope these help you...Thanks.

Reflective Yarn Dog Collar

This is More of a technique, then a Crochet pattern.
So I am going to tell you how I made a Dog Collar with
 Reflective yarn.

You can use Red Heart Reflective Yarn or
Hobby Lobby Reflective Yarn or any yarn you want.

See The Video On my Youtube Channel at This LINK

Reflective Yarn Dog Collar By Sara Sach
Please add this Crochet Pattern to Your Ravelry Favorites

What You will need-
Tape measure
Reflective Yarn - Amount depends on the size of the collar.
(both the red heart Reflective Yarn and
Hobby Lobby Reflective Yarn will work for this project)
 H or G -Hook
Yarn Needle
A regular dog collar
( I found some at the Dollar store)
After pricing, the buckle, clips and D rings,
it was way cheaper
to use a reg. collar, then to buy all the pieces.

Skill: Super Easy

Stitches Used:
 Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)

Okay, Let's Get Started:

Measure your dog's neck and set the collar to your dog's
 neck measurement.

With the reflective yarn of choice, make a slip knot,
then wrapping the yarn around the end of the collar,
sc across until you reach the little buckle.
ch 3, then continue to sc around the collar
until you reach the end of the collar. Next, tie off,
weaving the yarn in at both ends.
AND That's it!

Both dog's wearing the collars.

Here is where I hang them, right by the door.
So all I have to do is put them on and take them off quickly.

I also have a crochet pattern for a leash and
collar that would be perfect for this yarn.
