3 Little Pumpkins Crochet Pattern

Fall is the time for Pumpkin everything!

I originally wanted to make toys for my pooches.

Then I saw them sitting on my table

 and thought they were adorable for fall decorating.

The Pattern has 3 sizes so you can  choose what size you want to make. Or make all three for a table decoration.

Than I decided to make a bigger one!

I used 15 Oz. of Bernat Blanket yarn and 

an N/10.00 MM Crochet Hook. And Bunch of Stuffing!

I Topped it with a stick from my yard, 

and some brown thick yarn for a bow. 

I Followed The Pattern For the Large Pumpkin.

It turned out huge and fabulous!

It measure 40 inches around.

3 Little Pumpkins Crochet Pattern By Sara Sach

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet Hook – I / 5. 50 MM

Yarn – Worsted Weight (4) Orange (2 oz.) Green (.5 oz.)

Yarn needle

Small amount of fiber fill
Small Stick for a stem - Optional

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Together (tog)

Size: Small – 13 inches around, 3 inches tall

         Medium -15 inches around, 4 inches tall

         Large – 17 inches around, 5 inches tall

Notes:  Ch3 at beginning of round counts as

 the 1^st dc in that round.

Join each round to the ch3 at the beginning of each round.

S (M, L) -

R: 1 – - With orange yarn, ch 5, join in a circle, ch3,  

9dc in the circle, join, Ch3 (10dc)

R: 2 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each st around,

 Join, ch 3. (20 dc)

R: 3 – *1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (30 dc)

Skip to  R :  8   For Small

R: 4 - *1 dc in the next 2dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (40 dc)

R: 5 - *1 dc in the next 3dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (50 dc)

Skip to R : 8   For Medium

R: 6 -*1 dc in the next 4dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (60 dc)

R: 7 --*1 dc in the next 5dc, 2 dc in the next dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join and ch 3 (70 dc)

R: 8 – 1 dc in each dc, join, ch 3

(30, 50, 70 dc)

R: 9 – R : 11 – Repeat R: 8 for Small

R: 9 – R : 12 – Repeat R: 8 for Medium

R: 9 -R : 13 – Repeat R: 8 for Large

R: 14 – For All Sizes – 

*1 dc in the next dc, st tog the next 2 dc*

Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (20, 40, 60 dc)

Gently stuff your pumpkin.

Repeat  R: 14 -

                          - 1 time for Small,

                          - 2 times for Medium,

                          - 3 times for Large.

Add more stuffing if needed.

Tie off leaving a 12 in tail of yarn.

Use that tail of yarn to gather closed the top

 of the pumpkin.

To Form the ridges. Thread a 24 inch piece of yarn

In your needle. Attach to the bottom center of the pumpkin.

Wrap the yarn, gently pulling to the top center of the pumpkin,

Make a stay stitch, then wrap the yarn to the bottom,

Then stitch another stay stitch.

Repeat 3 more times.

Place the stick in the hole, gently pushing it in.

 You can use glue if desired. I did not.

Then tie a bow around the stick.

Stem And Curl 

Curl and Stem – With green yarn, ch 13, 3hdc in the 1^st ch and in each of next 11 chs,

Then ch 5, turn and slst back down the ch to form the stem.

Tie off leaving an 8 inch tail of yarn for sewing on top of Pumpkin.

 Crochet Hook  - I

Yarn - Worsted Weight (4) 1 oz. -  beige, 

            Small amount of Fun fur- Browns

Yarn Needle

Tape measure

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Skip (sk)

Size : 10 inch dog neck X 6 inches long

To adjust size - 2 rows = 1 inch, and 2 scs = 1 inch

This is a very stretchy snood with lots of room.

Notes: Ch1 at ends of rows does not count as a st. 

It is a turning ch.

Pattern:

R : 1 - With WW, ch 25, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook,

 1 sc in each ch across, ch1, turn ( 24sc)

R : 2 - 1 sc in the 1st 2 sc, *ch1, sk1, 1 sc in the next sc*

Repeat From * to * across, ch1, sk1, 1 sc in the last 2sc, 

ch1, turn (14 sc, 10chs)

R : 3 - R : 30 - Repeat R : 2

Turn Wrong side out, and slst closed. 

Tie off and weave in ends.

Trim ;

With 2 strands of Fun Fur, stitching loosely,

 1 sc in the end of each row, join to first sc, and tie off. 

Weave in your ends.

Just slide it on.

And Go out side!

Nautical Bag With Lining Tutorial Crochet Pattern

Materials:

Crochet Hook – I/9  5.5MM

Yarn – Cotton Yarn, Peaches and Cream – 7 balls (17.5 oz.)

             2 Red-C1, 2 Navy – C2, 2 White – C3, 1 yellow - C4

Yarn Needle

2 bandannas – 22 X 22 inches

     Or 2 pieces of 22 X 22 inch cotton cloth

Zipper – Nylon 18 inch – color to match bag

2 D Rings - 1 inch

2 Buttons with anchors on them – ½ inch

Needle and Thread –red to match top of bag

Size : Bag -16 X 18 inches

          Pocket - 5 X 6 inches

          Strap - 1.5 X 28-34 inches

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Half Double Crochet (hdc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Slip Stitch (slst)

This Crochet Pattern is written in 3 steps:

1.      The Anchor Pocket Graph Pattern

2.      The Bag Pattern

3.      Lining the Bag

Step 1 – The Anchor Graph Pattern – Use C1 and C4

Step 2: The Bag – starting at the bottom of the bag

When changing colors, ch after the colors change.

R : 1 – With C1 – Ch 43, 2 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, 

1 sc in the next 40 chs,  2 sc in the last ch, 

Turn working down the opposite side of the ch,

2 sc in the 1^st ch, 1 sc in the next 40 chs, 

2 sc in the last ch, join to 1^st sc with a slst,

Ch1 (counts as 1^st sc) 

(88 sts – the number of sts is the same for the all rows of the bag)

R : 2 – 1 sc in each sc around, join, ch1

R : 3 – R : 9 – Repeat R : 2

R : 10 – Change to C4, 1 hdc in each sc around, join, ch 2

R : 11 – 1 hdc in each hdc, join

R : 12 – Change to C2, ch 3, 1 dc in each hdc, join, ch 3

R : 13 – 1 dc in each dc, join, ch 3

R : 14 – Repeat R : 13

R : 15 – Change to C1, 1 dc in each dc, join, ch 3

R : 16 – 1 dc in each dc, join, ch3

R : 17 – Repeat R : 16

R : 18 – R : 29 – Repeat R : 12-R : 17 2 more times

R : 30- Change to C4, 1 hdc in each sc around, join, ch 2

R : 31 – 1 hdc in each hdc, join

R : 32 – change to C1, 1 sc in each hdc, join, ch1

R : 33 – 1 sc in each sc, join, ch1

 R : 34 - R : 36 – Repeat R : 33

The Handles :

Short Handle -With C2, ch 25, 1 dc in the 2nc ch from the hook,

 and in each ch, turn

Sc in each dc, 3 dc in the end of the 1^st dc, 

then working down the

Opposite side of the dc row, 1 sc in each dc, tie off leaving

 a 12 inch tail of yarn for sewing onto bag.

Long Handle – Ch 50, and repeat the instructions for the short handle.

Attach the 2 d rings to the end of the long handle by 

folding the end of the handle over the rings and sew in place.

 If you are not adding the lining sew each handle on the side

 of the top of bag. Then Sew the Anchor Pocket on the front 

of the back. Also sew on the anchor buttons as seen in photo below. 

If you are making a bag lining, set these aside till needed. 

We will attach them after the liner is in place.

Step 3 – The Lining

Lay the 2 bandanna out flat on a flat surface. 

Lay the Bag on top of the bandannas.

Measure out 1 inch on all 4 sides of the bandanna, and cut them.

 Lay the Sewn edge of the Bandanna on the 1^st side zipper,

 With the zipper facing up and sew in place. 

I used a zig zag stitch so it would have a little stretch.

You can use a sewing machine or hand sew.

Place the other bandanna, on the other side of the zipper and sew it in place.

Then sew across the bottom of the zipper. 

If the zipper is too long, cut off the end of the zipper.

 Fold the 2 bandanna down, wrong side out.

Unzip the zipper before you sew it closed or 

you won’t be able to get it open.

Flip to the right side.

 Sew over the corners a couple of time to re-enforce them.

Your Lining should look like a pillow ready to be stuffed.

Ok, let’s slip it into our bag.

Slide the lining into the bag. Push the corners into place.

Line up the edge of the zipper with the first row of crochet.

I was going to use white to match my lining,

But I changed to red to match the top of my bag.

Make sure you test that your zipper can moved easily

And not get caught in the fabric, zipper or yarn.

Sew the Pocket in place on the center front of the bag.

Sew your handles in place. 

Add your D rings as stated in the handles section.

Sew on your anchor buttons.

And that is it.

Ch1 at ends of rows is not a st, it is a turning ch.

The Graph Pattern is worked from the bottom row to the top row.

Ch 16, turn. 1 sc in the 2^nd ch and in each ch across, ch 1 turn

Work all Rows in sc sts, Changing colors where indicated by the graph.

Tips on Crocheting with Graphs and Changing Colors

When changing colors, always pull up your yarn in the last loop of the previous st.

When you have worked all the rows and are at the top corner,

With C1, ch16, 1 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, 

and in each ch across, ch1, turn

R : 1 – C1 6sc, C4 2sc, C1 6sc, ch1, turn

 R : 2 – C1 4sc, C4 6 sc, C1 4sc, ch1, turn

 R : 3 - C1 3sc, C4 1sc, C1 2sc, C4 2sc, C1 2sc, C4 1sc, C1 3sc,

 ch1, turn

 R : 4 – C1 2sc, C4 1sc, C1 3sc, C4 2sc, C1 3sc, C4 1sc, C1 2sc,

 ch1 turn

 R : 5 – Repeat R : 4

 R : 6 – Repeat R : 4

 R : 7- C1 6sc, C4 2sc, C1 6 sc, ch1, turn

 R : 8 – R : 10 – Repeat R : 7

 R : 11 – C1 4sc, C4 6sc, C1 4sc, ch1, turn
