Dog Bootie Crochet Pattern for those
Little Paws.
Little Paws.
Many Friends , Family and Customers
have been asking for Dog Booties or
dog bootie crochet patterns.
Not boots, but little booties to keep
their little paws warm in the house on
winter days.
I thought a lot about it, and took a good
look at my dogs paws.....
Maximo's Paws are very tiny, aren't they cute!
so I wanted the booties to fit snug but not be tight.
I also wanted them to be size adjustable.
Before you start , measure up your dog's legs,
front and back leg measurements may be
different depending on breed of dog, as well.
You determine how tall you want them.
I experimented with different lengths on Maximo
to see what was more comfortable.

ReplyDeleteI have a Great Dane, Bessie, she's white and black and gray. I thnk she would look great in a HOT PINK pair of these. we live i ohio and her teeth chatter when she comes in durring the winter.
ReplyDeleteI just made them. They are very easy to make. My dog is a female, so I add a scaloped edge to the top. Now she is going to be so cute.

ReplyDeleteThese dog booties are so cute. Unfortunately my dogs would see them as toys to play with-they have a pair of old men's socks with knots tied in them.
ReplyDeleteI do like this pattern though. Thank you very much! :)___

lee Anne, Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteI'm a little confused on how to do this. What do you mean when it says "With solid color, Ch 3 , in second ch from the hook, 6 sc, join in a circle" how do you Sc 6 when you only ch 3?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the Question.
ReplyDeleteBasically you need to stitch 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, then join to the first sc with a sl st.
Thanks, Sara
thank you!! You are such a life saver!! We adopted 2 rescue dogs from down south. We live in Vemont. One of the dogs is having a real hard time with the cold/snow. It is in the teens today, He is not out there for more than 3 minutes and either he is hopping on 3 legs to come back in or he gets to the steps and stops all together like he can't make his feet work anymore. I have to go out and carry him up the steps. When he comes in he is shaking his paws and walking very stiffly. Tonight i make him some booties until i can get some dog boots with leather to protect his little feet. The other dog doesn't seem to have a problem. Thank you so much!!!!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you like the pattern, my pups love them.
ReplyDeleteHi I am only twelve but is it supposed to have a hole at the bottom and how do you hide the extra yarn.plz reply.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are crocheting, even if you are only 12. :) YOu will get a hole in the bottom if you crochet loosely. Everyone crochets different.
ReplyDeleteYou can thread a needle with the yarn, and sew the hole closed.
Thanks, Sara
