So I have designed a fun,
Thick and cozy slipper
Free Crochet Pattern
To celebrate.
I chose to use a bulky yarn(5) and a supersoft yarn.
this way they are warm, thick and comfortable.
Oh, You can make these in any colors.
Why not make some in your favorite team,
school or state colors!

Crochet Hook – J
Yarn – Bulky (5) - I used Charisma/ Loops and Threads
Royal
Blue 3.5 oz. – C1, Off White – 1 oz. – C2,
Small amount of Bright yellow and
Red
Yarn Needle
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Double Crochet (dc)
Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC)
Together (tog)
Sizes : Sizes are
approximates –
Small
(S) - 5-6
Medium
(M) – 7-8
Large (L) - 9-10
Pattern is written as Small with Medium and Large in
parenthesis. S (M, L)
Note: Ch 1 at
ends of round does not count as a st,
unless indicated.
Pattern: Starting at the toe
R : 1 – With C1, Ch 3, 6 (8, 10) sc in the 2nd
ch from the hook,
join with a sl st, ch 1 (6sc)
R : 2 – 2sc in each sc, join, ch1 (12, 14, 16sc)
R : 3 – 2 sc in the 1st sc, *1 sc in the
next sc, 2 sc in the next sc*
Repeat From * to *,
Join, ch 1 (18, 20, 22 sc)
R : 4 – 1 sc in each sc, join, ch1 (18, 20, 22 sc)
R : 5 – Repeat R : 4
R : 6 – 2 sc in the 1st sc, 1 sc in each
sc around,
join, ch 1(19, 21, 23 sc)
R : 7 – 1 sc in each sc, join, ch1 (19, 21, 23 sc)
R : 8 - 2 sc in the 1st sc, 1 sc in each
sc around,
join, ch 1 (20, 22, 24 sc)
R : 9 – Change to C2, 1 sc in each sc, join,
ch 1
(20, 22, 24 sc)
R : 10 - 2 sc in the 1st sc, 1 sc in each
sc around,
join, ch 1 (21, 23, 25 sc)
R : 11 – 1 sc in each sc, join, ch1 (21, 23, 25 sc)
R : 12 – Change to C1, 2 sc in the 1st sc,
1 sc in each sc around,
join, ch 1 (22, 24, 26 sc)
R : 13 – 1 sc in each sc, join, ch 1 (22, 23, 26 sc)
For
M at Repeat R : 13 2 more times,
For Large Repeat R : 13 4 more times.
Center Section :
R : 14 – 1 sc in the next 17 (19, 21) sc, TURN,
ch 1,
(17, 19, 21) sc
R : 15 -22 - 1 sc in each sc, Turn, ch1
For
Medium repeat add 2 more round,
For Large add 2 more rounds
Forming The Heel:
R : 23 – 1 sc in the 1st 6 (8, 10) sc, st
tog the next 2 sc,
1 sc in the next sc, st together the next sc,
1 sc in
the next 6(8,10sc)
Turn, ch1
R : 24 -1 sc in the 1st 5 (7, 9) sc, st
tog the next 2 sc,
1 sc in the next sc, st together the next sc,
1 sc in
the next 5(7, 9 sc)
Place th2 ends together, wrong side out,
and slst to
sew closed the heel,
sl st back up
the heel. Turn right side out.
You should be ready to st around the
top of the
slipper.
Ankle Band:
R : 25 –Evenly sc around the top edge of the slipper.
You will need 32(34,36sc)
R : 26 – Ch 3, 1 dc in the next 10(12, 14) sc,
*dc
tog the next 2 sc, 1 dc in the next sc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Dc in the next
10(12, 14) sc, join, ch 3
R : 27 – *1 dc in the next dc, FPDC in the next dc*,
Repeat
From * to * around, join and tie off.
C Emblem:
With yellow, Ch3, 6 sc in the 2nd ch from
the hook,
join to form a circle, Tie off (6sc)
With Red, ch1, 2 sc in the next 10 sc, tie off, weave
in your ends.
Place on the slipper and sew in place with matching
yarn.
These slippers are so warm and cozy,
and super comfortable too!
I am wearing them right now.
