Fur Trimmed Cowl Crochet Pattern And Tips For Working With Fun Fur | Posh Pooch Designs

Fur Trimmed Cowl Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach at Posh Pooch Designs

Do You have some Fun fur or Fun Fur
style yarn laying around or in your yarn stash?
Maybe you just do not know what to do with it.
Well, I have an easy pattern  for you.

A Few tips on working with Fun Fur Style Yarns:
These tips are a few things I have learned when working with fun fur.

1. I think this yarn works best as a edge, trim or accent.
adding a row or 2 of sc can be very lovely and fun,
but because it is hard to see your stitches,
fancy stitches just don't work well.

2. When using this yarn through out a project,
I suggest always using another yarn with it.
1 strand of fun fur and 1 strand of
worsted weight or another yarn.
Again, because it is difficult to see your stitches,
by having the 2nd strand of other yarn,
will help you find your stitches.

3. Texture or Fancy Patterns just don't work well.
Because of the furriness of the yarn, fancy stitches
just do not show up well.

4. No Stretch - The fun fur doesn't stretch much,
so be sure to stitch loosely. This will help with a little
stretch and finding your stitches.

5.  Lastly, do not let this yarn frustrate you.
If you are getting Mad at the yarn or project,
set it aside and come back to it later.
It can be a fun yarn and a fun way to add a little extra
 pizazz to many projects.
