I have a Dog Shrug Crochet Pattern

I got so many requests for a knit version
That I decided to design a simple pattern
that can be easily size adjusted.
As well as, made in any color or colors of yarn.
I Love This picture of Rosie.
I think she got bored in the middle
of the photo shoot.

needles – Long Straight Needles US10 – 6mm
Yarn – Worsted
Weight (4) – 1 0z. Each of 4 colors
I used Red Heart Super Saver
Royal Blue - C1, Bright Pink - C2,
Bright Yellow – C3, Lavender – C4
Yarn Needle
Tape measure
Stitches
and Terms:
Cast On -
(CO)
Bind Off - (BO)
Knit - (k)
Purl - (p)
Size, Measurements: Small Dogs
5-12 lbs.
6 inches
wide X 16 inches long, and this Shrug is very stretchy.
This Shrug
is easy to make smaller or
larger by using your dog’s measurement.
R : 1 – 1st
Arm band –With C1, CO 24 sts.
*K2, P2* Repeat From * to *
R : 2 - *K2, P2* Repeat from * to *
R : 3 – R :
14 – Repeat R : 2 (ribbing)
This band should measure 3 inches.
Body of Shrug –needs to measure
10 inches.
If you need more length add rows here.
The Body of the Shrug is stitched in Stockinette,
with edges stitched in seed stitch
to
keep them from rolling up.
R : 15 – chg
to C2, p,k,p,k the first 4 sts,
k next 16 sts, k,p,k,p the last 4 sts
R : 16 – p,k,p,k
the first 4 sts. P all sts, k,p,k,p the last 4 sts
R : 17 – R :
40 – Repeat R : 15 and R : 16 alternating rows.
R : 41- Change
to C3
R : 42 – R :
64 – Repeat R : 15 and R : 16 alternating rows.
R : 65 – Change
to C4, 2nd Arm band *K2, P2*
Repeat From * to *
R : 66 -
*K2, P2* Repeat from * to *
R : 67 – R :
78 – Repeat R : 66 (ribbing)
BO, weave in
your ends
Leave the back open.
And that is it.
You can add button, ribbons, flowers or
Whatever you want as embellishments.
You can stitch up the shrug in 1
color, or use variegated.
This is the perfect addition to any dog dress or sweater
When the weather turns cool.
Rosie can still wear her favorite dress, and be warm.
It is also fun warn alone to add an extra little warm
to your outside time with your pooch or cat.
