This is the Child's Poncho to 




The Dolly and Me Spring Poncho Set
 is a Gift for Grand daughter for her birthday.
I will send them to her with some other fun things, 
then I will have some pics of her wearing it.

We have just retested and Updated This Crochet Pattern.
And It now has 3 Sizes included in the pattern -
Small, Medium and Large.
For Little Girls 2 - 10 years old.

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet Hook – H/ 5.00MM
Yarn - Worsted Weight yarn (4) Red Heart Love 1 skein each of Color
             Purple – C1, Dark Purple – C2 ( 4 to 6 oz. depending on size)
             Small amount of green, yellow and pink for flowers
Yarn needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Space (sp)
Skip (sk)

Sizes:  
Girl’s Poncho
3 Sizes: These are approximate sizes, always measure as you work.
Small – 2-4 years (14 X 24 inches)
Medium – 5-7 years (16 X 26 inches)
Large- 8-10 years (18 X 28 inches)

Notes:
Ch1 does not count as a st, ch3 does count as a st.
When changing colors, ch 3 after the color change.
Sizes written (small, Medium, Large)

R: 1 – Ch (S -45, M -55, L -65)
1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in each ch across, ch 3, turn.
(44, 54, 64 sc)

R: 2 – Ch3 counts as 1st dc, 1 dc in the next dc, *ch2, sk 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 2 dc*
Repeat From * to * across row, ch3, turn (44, 54, 64 sts)

R: 3 – Ch3 counts as 1st dc, 1 dc in the next 3dc, *ch2, 2 dc in the next ch2 sp*
Repeat From * to * across row, 1dc in the last 2 dc, ch 3, turn.
(44, 54, 64 sts)

R: 4 – Ch3 counts as 1st dc, 1 dc in the next dc, *ch2, 2 dc in the next ch2 sp*
Repeat From * to * across row, 1dc in the last 2 dc, ch 3, turn.
(44, 54, 64 sts)

R: 5 – Repeat R: 3
R: 6 – Repeat R: 4
R: 7 – Repeat R: 3

R: 8 – Chg to C1 – Repeat R: 4
R: 9 – Repeat R: 3
R: 10 – Repeat R: 4

R: 12 – Repeat R: 4
R: 13 – Repeat R: 3

R: 14 – Chg to C2, Repeat R: 4
R: 15 –Repeat R: 3

R: 20 - Chg to C2, Repeat R: 4

R: 24 – Chg to C1, 1 dc in each dc, and 2 dc in each ch 2 sp across, ch 3
 turn (44, 54, 64 dc)

R: 25 – Forming the neck hole, 1 dc in the 1st (13, 15, 18) dc, ch (16, 22, 26)
 sk the next (16, 22, 29) dc,
join to the next dc with a dc, 1 dc in the next (13,15, 18) dc, ch3, turn
(44, 54, 64 sts)

R: 26 – 1 dc in each dc and in each 2dc in ch2 sp across, ch3, turn. (44, 54, 64 dc)

R: 26 – R: 44 – Repeat R: 2 – R: 23
For the size you are making.

R: 45 – 1 sc in each dc and 2 dc in each ch2 sp  across, (44, 54, 64 sc)

 Trim-
Chg to C2, Turn working up the side of the poncho, Ch3,
2 dc in the corner, dc evenly,
Placing 1 dc in the end of each row, 3 dc in the next corner,
dc across the bottom of the poncho, 3 dc in the corner,
dc evenly up the 2nd side of the poncho.
dc across the front bottom of the poncho, join to the ch3 with a sl st.
Tie off and weave in the ends.


Medium Flowers – Make 3 in your choice of colors
Ch 2, 12 dc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join with a slst to 1st dc.
Ch 3, 3 dc, in 1st dc, ch3, sl st in the next dc, ch 3, (1 petal made)
Repeat 5 more times for 6 petals. Tie off, and weave in your end.
Sew onto poncho.
