Materials:
Crochet Hook
– I
Yarn –
Worsted Weight (4) about 2 oz.
Gingerbread - Beige, White, green,
pink, black
Yarn Needle
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Skip (sk)
Slip Stitch
(sl st)
Single Crochet
(sc)
V Stitch – (V
st - dc, ch1, dc)
Size: Youth:18
-19 inches, Adult: 20-22
3.5 inches wide, to make wider ad chs in 2 ch increments.
To make Headband wider add chs in chs2 increments.
( 2chs = 1 inch, 2 chs will add an additional V stitch)

Notes:
Ch 3 counts
as a dc
For Gingerbread Headband– Change to White yarn on R: 13 and on R : 23 for the Icing Stripes.
For Striped Headband - change colors every 2 rows.

R: 1 – ch
13, (1st 3 chs count as 1st dc) 1 dc in the 4th
ch from the hook,
Sk the next
ch, *dc, ch1, dc in the next ch* Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Sk the next ch,
1 dc in the last 2 dc, turn (2dc, 3 V Sts, 2dc)
R: 2 – Ch3,
dc in the next dc, 1 V St in the 3 V Sts, 1 dc in the last 2 dc, turn

R: 3 – R: 38
– Repeat R: 2 –Youth
R: 3 – R: 44
– Repeat R: 2 – Adult
When
Headband is as long as needed, place the 2 ends together and Slst Closed.
Bow:
R: 1 - Ch 11,
1 sc in the 2nd ch from the end and in each ch across, ch 1 turn.
(10sc)
R: 2 - 1 sc
in each sc, ch1, turn (10sc)
R: 3 -
Repeat R: 2, tie off.
With a 10
inch piece of matching yarn, pinch the center of the bow, and wind yarn
around several time, secure tightly and attach
to headband.
Cheeks and Buttons:
Make 3 buttons and 2 cheeks
Ch3, 5 sc in
the 2nd ch from the hook, join in a circle with a slst, tie off
leaving a
10 inch tail of yarn for sewing onto the headband as shown in the picture.
Embroider
eyes and smile on with black yarn.
