I released the Pattern and Video For The Spunky Chunky Basket Crochet Pattern - LINK that has 2 sizes, 8 and 10 inch, and many people asked me if Could make an even bigger one!

So I did!

The BIG Spunky Chunky Basket is 12 inches

You can make this big Basket with just 

1 cake of the Chunky Caron Cakes Yarn.

Spunky Chunky Basket Bag Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet Hook – L / 8.00MM

Yarn: Bulky (6) I used Trifle ( 1 cake)

Yarn Needle - Large Eyed

Stitches:
Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (slst)

Double Crochet (dc)

Back Loop Only (BLO)

Skip (sk)

Size: BIG - 12 inches

1 row = 1 inch

Pattern Notes:

Ch3 counts as a Double Crochet

Rounds are joined with a Slip Stitch

R: 1 – Ch 5, Join in a circle, 10 dc in the Circle

 join with a sl st to the 1st dc, Ch 3. (10dc)

R: 2 - 1 dc in same st as ch3, 2 dc in each dc around. join, ch3(20 dc)

R: 3 - 1 dc in same st as ch3, 1 dc in the next st, *2 dc in the next st, 

1 dc in the next st*,

Repeat from *to* around, join, ch3 (30 dc)

Make sure you count the ch3 and then place a dc in the same st as the ch3
 or your count will be off.  

R: 4 - 1 dc in same st as ch3, 1 dc in the next 2 sts, *2 dc in the next st, 

1 dc in the next 2sts*, Repeat from *to* around, join, ch3 (42 dc)

R: 5 - 1 dc in same st as ch3, 1 dc in the next 3 sts, *2 dc in the next st,

1 dc in the next 3 sts*, Repeat from *to* around, join, ch3 (53 dc)

R: 6 –  1 dc in same st as ch3, 1 dc in the next 4 sts, 

*2 dc in the next st, 1 dc in the next 4 sts*, Repeat from *to* around, join,

 ch3. (66 dc)

R: 7 – 1 dc in same st as ch3, 1 dc in the next 5 sts, 

*2 dc in the next st, 1 dc in the next 5 sts*, Repeat from *to* around, join,

 ch3. (77 dc)

R: 8 -1 dc in same st as ch3, 1 dc in the next 6 sts, 

*2 dc in the next st, 1 dc in the next 6 sts*, Repeat from *to* around, join,

 ch3. ( 89 dc)

R: 9 -Working in the BLO, (this row only)1 dc in each dc, join, ch3 (89 dc )

R: 10 – 1 dc in each dc, join, ch 3.

R: 11 – R: 18  Repeat R: 8

R: 19) – Ch3 counts as 1^st dc, 1 dc in the next 14 dc,

ch 15, sk next 15dc,

Join to the next dc with a dc, 1 dc in the next 29 dc,

ch15, sk next 15dc,

Join to the next dc with a dc, 1 dc in the next 14 dc,

Join, ch3 (59dc + 30chs = 89sts)

R: 20 1 dc in each dc and in each ch around, join, ch1. (89dc)

R: 21 Repeat R :20 

R: 22 - – slst in each dc around, join, tie off, weave in ends.
