Chunky Shells Blanket Crochet Pattern

I asked all the time for a blanket Crochet Pattern 
that does not have holes. This Blanket is the 
perfect solution.
It is very comfy, as well as, pretty.

I designed this pattern using Red Heart's 
Soft Essential yarn. It is a Bulky (5) yarn so 
stitches up quickly.
It have a lovey softness and sheen that 
makes a perfect blanket.
I used 4 colors for the beautiful stripes.
The Colors I used are listed below in the pattern.

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet Hook - N/9MM
Large Yarn Needle
Yarn - Bulky (5)
I Used Soft Essentials By Red heart Yarns
           C1 - Peony (2 skeins, 10 0z.)
           C2 - Sugar Plum (2 skeins, 10 oz.)
           C3 - Sea foam (2 skeins, 10 oz.)
           C4 - Greyhound (3 skeins, 15 oz.)
          You will need 2 skeins of each color, except grey you will need 3 skeins.

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)

Special Stitch: Shell Stitch (3 dc in the same stitch)

Size:
Blanket will be approx. 34 x 34 inches
Repeat in multiples of 4 + 1, 4 ch = 2 inches

Notes: 
Ch 3 counts as a double Crochet
When changing colors, ch 3 after the color change.

R: 1 - With C1, ch 72, 1 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 1 dc in each ch across, 
ch1, turn. (68 dc)

R : 2 - Ch3 Counts as 1st dc, 
*skip the next st, 3 dc in the next st, skip the next st, 1 sc in the next st*,
 Repeat from * to * across row, turn. Ch 3 (17 shells)

R: 3 - Change to C2, ch3 Counts as dc,
*1 sc in the 2nd dc in the next shell, 3 dc in the  next sc *,
 Repeat from * to * across row, ch 3, turn. (17 shells)

R: 4 - Repeat R : 3

R: 5 - R: 6  - Change to C2, Repeat R : 3

R: 7 - R: 8 - Change to C3, Repeat R : 3

R: 9 - R: 10 - Change to C4, Repeat R : 3

R: 11 - 42 -  Repeat R: 3 - R: 10, 5 times

To make Blanket longer, continue to repeat until desired length.

 Tie off , using a large yarn needle weave in all your yarn ends.

Trim:
Attach C4 to one of the corners of the blanket and repeat the 
Shell Stitch around all four sides of the blanket, join with sl st.  

Repeat, then Tie off and weaving all the ends. in ends.
