Materials:
Crochet Hook – I / 5. 50 MM
Yarn – Worsted Weight (4) 14 Oz.
I used 2 cakes
of Sugar Wheel – Jumpin' Jellybean
Yarn Needle
1 Stitch Marker or a piece of yarn to use as a Stitch Marker
1 Stitch Marker or a piece of yarn to use as a Stitch Marker
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)
Stitch Marker (st mkr)
Size: 56 X 28 inches
Super easy to make small or bigger –
3 chs = 1 inch, 1 row = 1 inch
Notes:
Ch3 Counts as a dc
Ch3 Counts as a dc
Ch 4 counts as a ch1, dc
Shawl is stitched from the top down
R: 1 – Ch 5, join in a circle,
ch3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the circle,
ch3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the circle,
ch 4, turn,
(3 dc, ch2, 3dc)
R: 2 – Dc in the same st as the ch 4,
Ch1, sk the next dc, dc in the next dc, ch1,
Dc, ch2, dc, in the ch 2 sp, ch1 (mark ch2 sp with the st. marker)
Dc in the next dc, ch1, sk the next dc,
dc, ch1, dc in the last st,
ch 4, turn
R: 3 - Dc in the same st as the ch 4,
*Ch1, dc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * 2 more times
Ch1, dc, ch2, dc in the ch2 sp,(Move St mkr)
Repeat From * to * 3 times,
Ch1, dc, ch1, dc in the last st,
ch 4, Turn.
R: 4 - Dc in the same st as the ch 4,
*Ch1, dc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * 4 more times
Ch1, dc, ch2, dc in the ch2 sp,(Move St mkr)
Repeat From * to * 5 times,
Ch1, dc, ch1, dc in the last st,
ch 4, Turn.
R: 5 - Dc in the same st as the ch 4,
*Ch1, dc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * 6 more times
Ch1, dc, ch2, dc in the ch2 sp,(Move St mkr)
Repeat From * to * 7 times,
Ch1, dc, ch1, dc in the last st,
ch 4, Turn.
R: 6 - Dc in the same st as the ch 4,
*Ch1, dc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * 8 more times
Ch1, dc, ch2, dc in the ch2 sp,(Move St mkr)
Repeat From * to * 9 times,
Ch1, dc, ch1, dc in the last st,
ch 4, Turn.
R: 7 -Dc in the same st as the ch 4,
*Ch1, dc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * 10 more times
Ch1, dc, ch2, dc in the ch2 sp,(Move St mkr)
Repeat From * to * 11 times,
Ch1, dc, ch1, dc in the last st,
ch 4, Turn.
R: 8 – R : 28 –
Continue to repeat the Pattern, increasing by 4 dc every row.
Trim:
R: 29 -Turn, sc across the top edge of the Shawl.
Working down the 1st side,
Sc in the 1st st, ch 5,
*sk the next ch 1 sp, sc in the next ch1 sp, ch 5*
Repeat From * to * to the point and up the other side of the
shawl,
Join to the 1st st with a sc.
R: 30 – Turn, working back down the side of the shawl.
*Ch 5, sc in the next ch 5 sp*
Repeat From * to * to the point and up the other side of the
shawl,
Join to the 1st st with a sc. Tie off. Weave in Your
end.
And With all the different cake yarns,
You can make one to match just about any outfit.

How did you get the stripes so uniform? Did you go back and forth between the two cakes? I've never used cakes before. I'm trying to figure out how you used two cakes but got only one set of stripes. Also, both my Sugarwheels have an unpleasant odor, so I'm going to return them. I'm sorry for the stupid questions.
