Bobble  Children’s Hats
 Crochet Pattern

 The Bobble Hat Pattern can be crocheted using 
any Med (4) yarn.
 And is a great child's hat pattern for the  Topper yarn
 Kits that come with a stuffed animal topper.

The Hats were designed using 
Red Heart Bunches of Hugs
Which is Med (4) Yarn.
And has 3 sizes included in the pattern.

Bobble Children’s Hats – 3 Sizes

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet Hook – H / 5.00 MM
Yarn – Worsted Weight/ med. (4) 2– 3 oz. depending on size
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
 Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
 Single Crochet (sc)
Double crochet (dc)
Back Loop Only (blo)
Double Crochet Together (dctog)

Special Stitch - Double Crochet Bobble Stitch – (bst)
Yo, insert hook in the next st, yo, pull the yarn through the st, yarn yo,
pull the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook
Repeat 2 more times – You will have 3 “uncompleted dc”
YO, pull yarn through all 4 loops on the hook

Size:
XS – Infant – 11 - 12 inch
S – Toddler -13- 14 Inches
M – Child - 15 - 16 Inches

Notes:
Pattern is Written For XS with (S, M,) in parenthesis
Rounds are joined with a slst.
Ch3 Counts as a dc
Ch1 Does not Count as a sc

Pattern:
R: 1 - Ch 5, 1 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, ch1 turn (4 sc)

R: 2 – Blo, 1 sc in each sc, ch 1 turn (4 sc)

R: 3 – Repeat R: 2 for 39 (48, 61) Rows
 Rows = 41 (50, 63)

R: 4 - Join band in a circle, sc in each sc sewing the ends together.
The sc join row counts as 1 row, Ch 3
42 (51, 64 Rows)


R: 5 – (All Sizes) 1 dc in the side of each row around, join, ch1
(42 (51, 64 dc)

R: 6 – 1 sc in the 1st 2 dc, bst in the next dc,
*1 sc in the next 2 dc, bst in the next dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 1
42 (51, 64 sts)

R: 7 – 1 sc in each st around, join, ch 3
42 (51, 64 scs)

R: 8 – 1 dc in each sc around, join, ch 1
42 (51, 64 dc)

R: 9 – 1 sc in each dc, around, join, ch 1
42 (51, 64 sc)

R: 10 – Repeat R: 6

R: 11 – Repeat R: 7

R: 12 – Repeat R: 8


R: 13 - Sizes S – M  – 1 dc in each dc, join, ch 3

XS -Skip to R: 15

R: 14 – M- 1 dc in each dc, join, ch 3

S -Skip to R: 15

R: 15 -  All 3 Sizes - 1 dc in the next 3 dc, dctog the next 2 dc,
*1 dc in the next 3 dc, dctog the next 2 dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3

XS -Tie off weave in your ends leaving a 12 inch tail a of yarn.

R: 16 - 1 dc in the next 2 dc, dctog the next 2 dc,
*1 dc in the next 2 dc, dctog the next 2 dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3

S -Tie off weave in your ends leaving a 12 inch tail a of yarn.

R: 17 - 1 dc in the next 1 dc, dctog the next 2 dc,
*1 dc in the next 1 dc, dctog the next 2 dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, tie off
Leaving a 12 in tail of yarn.

M -Tie off weave in your ends leaving a 12 inch tail a of yarn.

All Sizes - Turn the hat wrong side out, thread the tail of yarn onto the needle.
Gather closed the top of the hat. Flip right side out.




Add The Topper or Pom pom.

Now I need to get some more of these kits for my grand kids!
