Washcloth Of The Month 2020 Crochet Along

The Washcloth is stitched all in Half Double Crochets
 for nice durable Washcloth.
 It Can be used as a Washcloth, Dish cloth or 
whatever you wish to use it for.

Pattern 1 – January - Washcloth Of The Month -Checked Washcloth Crochet Pattern

Add This Crochet Pattern To Your Ravelry Favorites

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet Hook – H/ 5.00MM
Yarn –Med (4) Cotton 2 Colors (C1- Cream, C2 - Aqua – 2.5 oz. of each color)

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (HDC)
Change to (chgto)

Size: 10 X 10 Inches

Notes:
Ch1 does not Count as a st
Yarn is not cut when Changing Colors, it is carried across, and stitched over.

How To Change colors and carry Your yarn:


You will change Colors every 5th hdc
3 loops on your hook
Carry your yarn of Previous color and st over it.

Yo with your next color and pill through the 3 loops

This gives you a neat and tidy color change.



Pattern:
R: 1 – With C1, ch 36
1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 hdc in the next 4chs,
*Chgto C2, 1 hdc in the next 5 chs,
Chgto C1, 1 hdc in the next 5 chs*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, ch 1, turn

R: 2 - 1 hdc in the next 5 sts,
*Chgto C2, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts,
Chgto C1, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, ch 1, turn

R: 3 – Repeat R: 2

R: 4 – Chgto C2, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts,
*Chgto C1, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts,
Chgto C2, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, ch 1, turn


R: 5 – R: 6 – Repeat R: 4

R: 7 –Chgto C1, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts,
*Chgto C2, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts,
Chgto C1, 1 hdc in the next 5 sts*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, ch 1, turn

R: 8 – R: 9 – Repeat R: 7

R: 10 – R: 21 - Repeat R: 4 – R: 9 (2 more times)

R: 22 - Cut off C2, sc evenly around all for sides of the washcloth,
 placing 2 sc in each of the 4 corners, join to the 1st sc,
 tie off and weave in your ends.
