Yarn Needle
3/8 Inch Buttons (2 or 3)
12 in piece of 3/8 inch ribbon

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Front Loop Only (FLO)
Back Loop Only (BLO)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)

Size: 8 X 8 inches

Notes:
Ch 3 Counts as a dc

Pattern:
R: 1 – Ch 15, join in a circle, ch1,
15 sc around the circle, join to the 1^st sc, ch3
(15 sc)

R: 2 – Forming the Wings –
FLO, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,
2 dc in the next 7 sc, (16 dc)

Turn, Working in BLO of R: 1,
2 dc in the next 8 sc, (16 dc)
join to the 1^st dc, ch 3
(16 + 16 = 32 dc)

R: 3 – *1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next dc*
*1 dc in the next 2 dc, 2 dc in the next dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3
