Do You have a shirt, or dress that is just a 

little bit to low for your liking?

I have a quick and easy crochet solution.

I have designed The Modest Lace 

for V Neck and Scoop Shirts and Dresses.

They are easy to adjust to whatever size

 you need. The V Neck T Shirt Lace is shaped like a V, 

And Scoop Neck T Shirt Lace is rounded to easily

fit a scoop neck.

There Are Three Ways To Attach

 Your Modesty Lace Pieces

1.       Temporary Attach - You can attach them with

 safety pins for easy removal for washing.

2.    Temporary Attach - Sew buttons on the inside

 of the shirt, and button the lace piece on each time it's worn.

3.   Permanent Attach -       You can sew them on 

with your sewing machine. You can also, hand sew

 them into place with a needle and thread.

Materials:
Crochet hook – H / 5 mm
Yarn – (4) Weight – cotton, Acrylic or fiber of your choosing
Yarn needle
Measuring tape
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Shell Stitch (shst) 2 dc, ch1, 2dc  in the same sp/st
 
Size:
V Neck – 4 T X 5 W - inches
Scoop Neck – 4 T X 8 W – Inches
 
Notes:
Ch3 Counts as a dc

V Neck Modesty Lace Pattern
 
R: 1 – Ch 4, 4 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook, turn, ch 3 (5 dc)
 
R: 2 – 1 dc in the 1^st dc, 1 dc in the next 3 dc,
2 dc in the last dc, turn, ch 3 (7 dc)

 

R: 3 - 1 dc in the 1^st dc, 1 dc in the next 5 dc,
2 dc in the last dc, turn, ch 3 (9 dc)
 
R: 4 - 1 dc in the 1^st dc, 1 dc in the next 7 dc,
 2 dc in the last dc, turn, ch 3 (11 dc)
 
R: 5 – 1 dc in the 1^st dc, 1 dc in the next 9 dc,
2 dc in the last dc, turn, ch 3 (13 dc)

R: 6 - 1 dc in the 1^st dc, sk 2 dc, *shst in the next dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Sk 2 dc, 2 dc in the last dc, turn, ch 3
 (4 dc, 3  shst)

R: 7 – 1 dc in the next dc, *ch1, Shst in the next ch1 sp*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, 2 dc in the last dc,
 Tie off weave in your ends.

Make The Lace longer and wider –
Repeat R: 7 Adding 1 more ch between the shell stitches
For each Row Added.

 
Scoop Neck Modesty Lace Pattern

R: 1 - Ch 11, 1 dc in the 4^th ch from the hook,
1 dc in each ch across, turn, ch 3 (9dc)
 
R: 2 – 1 dc in the 1^st dc, 1 dc in the next 3 dc,
2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 3 dc,
2 dc in the last dc, turn, ch 3 (12 dc)

R: 3 - 1 dc in the 1^st dc, 1 dc in the next 4 dc,
2 dc in the next 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 4 dc,
2 dc in the last dc, turn, ch 3 (16 dc)

R: 4 - 1 dc in the 1^st dc, 1 dc in the next 6 dc,
2 dc in the next 2 dc, 1 dc in the next 6 dc,
2 dc in the last dc, turn, ch 3 (20 dc)

R: 5 – 1 dc in the 1^st dc, *sk 2 shst in the next dc*
Repeat From * to * 4 more times,
Sk 2 dc, dc in the last 2 dc, turn, ch 3
 (4 dc, 5 shst)

R: 6 - 1 dc in the next dc, *ch1, Shst in the next ch1 sp*
Repeat From * to * 4 more times, 1 dc in the 2 dc,
 Tie off weave in your ends.
  (4 dc, 5 shst)

M   Make The Lace longer and wider –
Repeat R: 6 Adding 1 more ch between the shell stitches
