Snowman Squishy Pillow Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy
Materials:
Crochet Hook - N / 9 mm.
Yarn - (6) Super Bulky Blanket yarn of your choice
C1 - White - Snowman body - 5 oz.
C2 - Green - hat and scarf - 2 oz.
C3 - Red - hat and scarf - 3 oz.
C4 - Gold - hat and scarf - 1 oz
C5 -Med (4) Acrylic - orange- nose
C6 - Small amount for Black for mouth
5 - Black Buttons of choice, 3/4 inch
Stitch Marker
Yarn needle with big eye
Stuffing 10 - 16 oz.
Assorted embellishments - buttons, ribbons, flatback, ]ect.
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single crochet (sc)
Single crochet 2 together (sc2tog)
Change to (chgto)
Size: 18 inches
Notes:
The Snowman is Stitched in the Round,
do not join the rows
Pattern:
Step 1 - The Snowman
R: 1 - R: 18
R: 1 - With C2, Ch5, join in a circle,
8 sc in the circle (8sc)
R: 2 - 2 sc in each sc (16sc)
Repeat from * to * around (24sc)
R: 4 - *1 sc next 2 sc, 2 sc in the next sc*
Repeat from * to * around (32sc)
R: 5 - *1 sc next 3 sc, 2 sc in the next sc*
Repeat from * to * around (40sc)
R: 6 - 1 sc in each sc around (4osc)
R: 7 - Chgto C2, 1 sc in each sc (40sc)
R: 8 - Chgto C3, 1 sc in each sc (4osc)

*Sctog the next 2 sc, sc in the next 4 sc*
Repeat
from * to * (34sc)
R: 30

Stuff The Snowman
R: 31 -*Sctog the next 2 sc, sc in the next 2 sc*

Tie off
leaving a 16 inch tail of yarn.
Add more Stuffing if needed
Gather closed the bottom of the
snowman
with needle and tail of yarn.
Forming
the Snowman head
Cut 1 strand of C1 about 14 inches long.
Thread
onto the needle, Tie around R: 15,
gathering
through some of the stitches.
Gently
pull around and tie securely.
If you feel more secure, you can use a matching
color of
med (4) along with the blanket yarn.

Scarf, Nose, Face and Buttons

Scarf:

With C2, Ch 4, sc in the 2nd ch from the hook,
1 sc in
the next 3 chs, turn, ch 1 (3sc)
R: 2 – Chgto
C3, tie off C2,
1 sc in
each sc, turn, ch 1 (3sc)
R: 3 – Chgto
C4, tie off C2,
1 sc in
each sc, turn, ch 1 (3sc)
R: 4 - 1
sc in each sc, turn, ch 1 (3 sc)
R: 5 –
R: 46 – Repeat R: 5
R: 47 – Chgto C4, Tie off C3,1 sc in each sc, turn, ch 1 (3 sc)
R: 48 - 1
sc in each sc, turn, ch 1 (4 sc)
R: 49 - 1
sc in each sc, tie off weave in the ends. (4 sc)
Weave in
the ends.
Cut 8
inch strands of yarn for Fringe.
Attach
to the ends of the scarf.
Nose- With
Orange Med (4) yarn, Ch 9, slst in the 2nd ch from the hook,
Sc in
the next 2 ch, dc in the next 5 chs, tie off leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn.
Thread
the tail of yarn on the needle and sew onto the snowman’s face.
Sew on
the button eyes and 3 buttons on the front of the snowman.
With the
Black med (4) yarn stitch on a smile.
Pom pom -
make a pompom using the 3 colors of the hat and
attach
to the top of the snowman’s hat.
You can
add buttons, and decorations on your snowman as you like.
I added some snowflakes to the Snowman’s hat and scarf.
