decorative purposes only.
If you are going to use them as wash clothes,
hot pads or pot holders,
Please, use cotton yarn. Which works beautifully.

We just re-tested, and updated the pattern
and added a video.
We, also, adjusted the pattern to be a little wider,
so it is more realistic.

Hook
Size – H / 5.00 MM
Yarn
Needle
Yarn
- Worsted Weight Yarn (4) – 3 colors
I used Red Heart Supersaver, Cotton yarn can
also be used
C1 - Coffee Brown, C2 - Cream, C3
- Flower lt. beige
Stitches
Used:
Chain
(ch)
Single
crochet (sc)
Slip
stitch (sl st)
Half
Double Crochet (hdc)
Half
Double Crochet together (hdctog)
Size: 8 x 8 inches
Coffee
Cup Crochet Pattern:
Notes:
Ch1
at ends of rows does not count as a st.
You
can make 2 of the Coffee cups, and stitch them together for a thick hot pad.
R: 1
- We will be starting at the bottom of the cup,
With
C1, Ch 13, 1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook,
1
hdc in next 11 chs, ch 1 turn. (12hdc)
R: 2
- 2 hdc in the 1st st, 1 hdc in the next 10 sts, 2 hdc in the last st, ch 1,
turn.
(14 hdc)
R: 3
- 2 hdc in the 1st St, 1 hdc in the next 12 sts, 2 hdc in the last st,
ch1,
turn. (16 hdc)
R: 4
- 2 hdc in the 1st St, 1 hdc in the next 14 sts, 2 hdc in the last st,
ch1,
turn. (18 hdc)
R: 5
- 2 hdc in the 1st St, 1 hdc in the next 16 sts, 2 hdc in the last st,
ch1,
turn. (20hdc)
R: 6
- 2 hdc in the 1st St, 1 hdc in the next 18 sts, 2 hdc in the last st,
ch1,
turn. (22 hdc)
R: 7
- 1 hdc in each hdc, ch1, turn. (22 hdc)
R: 8
- R: 14 - Repeat R: 7
R: 15 - Change to C2, Hdctog 1st 2
hdc,
1
hdc in each st, Hdctog last 2 hdc, ch 1 turn. (20 hdc)
R:
16 – 1 hdc in each hdc, ch1, turn. (20 hdc)
R:
17 – Repeat R: 16, Tie off, weave in
ends.
Trim:
Attach
C1 to the side of the coffee cup were the coffee and cup meet.
Sc
around the top of the coffee around the cup, for a nice finished edge,
Continue
back around to where the yarn was attached. Do not tie off.
Handle:
Ch
16, and skip down 11 sts, and join with a sc, 1 sc in the next st,
Turn
and sc back up the ch, join with a sc, 1 sc in the next st, then turn and
sc
back down the handle and join with a sc, tie off, weave in all the ends.
Flower:
R: 1
- With C3, Ch 3, 6 sc in the second ch from the hook, join to form a circle,
R: 3
- In each sc (sc, dc, dc, sc,) to form each petal,
Repeat
5 more times, for 6 petals total.
Place
Flower in the center of the cup,
And
sew into place with matching yarn.
