Skill: Easy
Materials:
Hook - H
Yarn- Cotton Yarn, I used Peaches and Cream
Option 1 - Solid Tie - Cream C1 and Navy C2, brown C3 for the Trim
Option 2 - Striped Tie - Cream C1 and Navy C2, Red C3 for the Trim
Yarn Needle for weaving in your ends.
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Together (tog)
Skip (sk)
Size : 5 X 5 inch
Notes:
We will begin stitching the graph from the bottom, at R : 1
Ch1 at ends of rows, does not count as a st, it is a turning chain.
You can stitch this coaster using option 1 or option 2.
I will be writing the pattern as Option 1
R : 1 – With C1, ch 16, 1 sc in the 2nc ch
from the hook,
and in
each ch across, ch1, turn (15 sc)
The st count will be the same throughout the
project
R : 2 – 1 sc in each sc, ch 1 turn
R : 3 – 7 C1, 1 C2, 7 C1, ch1, turn
R : 4 – 6 C1, 3 C2, 6 C1, ch1, turn
R : 5 – 5 C1, 5 C2, 5 C1, ch1 turn
R : 6-9 – Repeat R : 5
R : 10 –Repeat R : 4
R : 11 – Repeat R : 3
R : 12 – Repeat R : 4
R : 13 – 15 – Repeat R : 5
R : 16 – Repeat R : 2
Trim - With C3, evenly sc around all 4
sides of the coaster,
st 2 sc in each corner, join to
1st sc, tie off.
Do not forget to spray Block your
coaster.

Button Tab for Mug Rug –
R : 1 - With C1, Ch 7, turn I sc in
the 2nd ch from the hook
and in each ch across, ch1, turn (6sc)
R : 2 – 1 sc in each sc, ch1 turn (6sc)
R : 3-18 – Repeat R : 2
R : 19 – 1 sc in the 1st 2 sc, ch2, sk 2 sc, 1 sc in the last 2 sc.
Trim and button hole– Chg to c3
1 sc in 1s 2 sc, 3 sc in the button hole (ch2 sp) 1 sc in the next 2 sc, 3 sc in the corner.
Sc evenly on the 2 sides, placing 3 sc in the corners, join to 1 st sc, tie off.
Place the Button tab, centered on the
side of the
Coaster and sew in place with needle and matching yarn. Sew on
button.
