Grantastic CAL Square 5 – Granny Flower

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet hook – H/ 5.00 MM
Yarn – Worsted Weight (4)
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Double Crochet (dc)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)

Special Stitch:
Cluster Stitch – (clst)
*Yarn over, Insert hook through Stitch and draw up a loop,
yarn over, pull loop through the 1st 2 loops* (2 loops on hook)
Repeat From * to * 2 more times. You will have 4 loops on Your hook.
Yarn over and pull the loop through all 4 loops

Size: 6 X 6 inches

Note: 
Ch3 counts as a dc.
Rounds are joined to the ch3 with slst 

Pattern:
R: 1 – Ch 5, join in a circle, ch 3, 7 dc, join in a circle, ch3
(8dc)

R: 2 – Dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc, join ch 3
(16 dc)

R: 3 – 3 dc in the same st as the ch 3, ch1, sk the next dc,
*3 dc in the next dc, ch1, sk the next dc*
Repeat From * to * 6 more times,
Join to the ch 3, ch 3 (8 sets of 3 dc, ch2)

R: 4 – *Clst in the 2nd dc , ch 3, sc in the ch1 sp, ch 3*
Repeat From * to * 7 More times, join to the ch 3,
(8 clst, 8 sc)

R: 5 – Sl st to the next sc, 2dc, ch 2, 2dc in the same sc, ch3,
2 dc in the next sc, ch 3
*2 dc, ch2, 2dc in the next sc, ch3, 2 dc in the next sc, ch 3*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, join to the ch 3, ch 3
(4 sets of 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch3, 2dc)

R: 6 – Slst to the Ch 2,
*2 dc, ch 2, 2dc in the next corner, ch 2, 2 dc, in the next 2 ch2 sps, ch 2*
Repeat from * to * 3 more times, join to ch 3, tie off weave in your ends.
(4 sets of 2c, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2)

Remember To Make Four of Each Square

  1. My square measures 5 inches is this right, or should it be 6? I had problems with it laying flat also.
