Grateful Granny Square

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet hook – H/ 5.00 MM
Yarn – Worsted Weight (4)
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)
V St – dc, ch1, dc in the same st

Size: 6 X 6 inches

Note: 
Ch1 Does not Count as a st
Ch3 counts as a dc.
Rounds are joined to the ch3 with slst.

Pattern:
R: 1 - Ch 5, join in a circle, ch 1, 8 sc in the circle, join, ch6
(8sc)

R: 2- *Sk the next sc, sc in the next sc, ch6*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times,
Join to the 1st sc, slst in the 1st ch6 sp.
(4 ch 6 sps, 4 sc)

R: 3 – Ch3, 2 dc, ch2, 3 dc in the 1st ch6 sp, ch2,
*3 dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2 in the next ch6 sp*
Repeat from * to * 2 more times, join,
Slst to the next ch 2 sp.
(4 sets of 3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2)

R: 4 – Ch3, 2 dc, ch2, 3 dc in the 1st ch2 sp, ch2, Vst in the next ch2 sp, ch 2,
*3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch 2 in the next ch2 sp, Vst in the next ch2 sp, ch 2*
Repeat From * To * 2 more times, join, slst to the next ch 2 sp.
(4 sets of 2dc, ch2, 2dc, ch2 Vst, ch2)

R: 5 - Ch3, 2 dc, ch2, 3 dc in the 1st ch2 sp, ch2,
Vst in the next ch2 sp, Vst in the ch1 sp of the next Vst, V st in the next ch 2 sp, ch 2,
*3 dc, ch2, 3 dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2,
Vst in the next ch2 sp, Vst in the ch1 sp of the next Vst, V st in the next ch 2 sp, ch 2,*
Repeat From * To * 2 more times, join, tie off, weave in your ends.
(4 sets of 3dc, ch2, 3dc, ch2, 3 Vsts, ch2)

Blocking your squares is optional, I do it to make it easier when it's time to put them all together.


Remember you need 4 or more of each square.


Only 1 more Granny Square and 

than we can put them all together.
