 is Bernat / Jaquard Med (4) Acrylic

I Love This Simple and Elegant Table Runner.

I designed it with Thanksgiving dinner in mind,
but you can make it in any colors and for any occasion.



The Christmas colors Table Runner

 is made using Red Heart Super Saver
Any Med (4) yarn will Work.

Rectangle Granny Table Runner and Placemat Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet Hook – I/ 5.50MM
Yarn - med (4) Acrylic or Cotton – Fall Colors Variegated ( 3.5 oz. )
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Double Crochet (dc)
Space (sp)
Skip (sk)

Special Stitch:  Picot (pt) - *ch4, slst in the top of the sc

Size:
Approximately 22 X 14 Inches
Multiples of 5 + 7

Notes:
Ch 3 counts as a dc
Rounds are joined with a slst to the ch 3
When Changing colors, ch3 after the color change.

Pattern:
R: 1 – Ch 32, 2dc in the 4th ch from the hook (ch3 counts as a dc)
Ch2, 3 dc in the same ch, ch2, 3dc in the same ch,



*Ch2, sk2 chs, 1 dc in the next 3 chs*

Repeat From * to * 4 more times.



Ch2, Sk 2 chs, 3 dc in the last ch,

Ch2, 3 dc in the same ch, ch2, 3 dc in the same ch

Working down the Opposite side of the ch
*Ch2, sk2 chs, 1 dc in the next 3 chs*
Repeat From * to * 4 more times.

Ch2, join to the ch3, 
(4 corners, 10 3dc clusters)



R: 2 - Slst to the ch2 sp, ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in the 1st ch2 sp, Ch2
 3dc, ch2, 3dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2
*3 dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2* Repeat From * to * 5 times
*3dc, ch2, 3dc in the next ch2 sp* Repeat From * to * in the next ch2 sp
*3 dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2* Repeat From * to * 5 times, join to the top of the ch3.
slst to the next ch2 space.
(4 corners, 12 3dc clusters)




  R: 3 - Slst to the ch2 sp, ch3, 2dc, ch2, 3dc in the 1st ch2 sp, Ch2
 3dc, ch2, 3dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2
*3 dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2* Repeat From * to * 6 times
*3dc, ch2, 3dc in the next ch2 sp* Repeat From * to * in the next ch2 sp
 *3 dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2* Repeat From * to * 6 times, join to the top of the ch3.
slst to the next ch2 space
(4 Corners, 16 3dc clusters)

R: 4 - R: 8 - Repeat R: 3 -You will increase 1 "3dc group, ch2" on each side for each row.
(4 Corners, 36 3 dc cluster)

R: 9 – ch3, 1dc, ch2, 2dc in the 1st ch2 sp, ch1, sc in the next ch2 sp, ch1
*2dc, ch2, 2dc in the next ch2 sp, ch1, sc in the next ch2 sp, ch1*
Repeat From * to * all around all 4 sides of the placemat,
Join to the ch3

R: 10 - ch3, 1dc, ch2, 2dc in the 1st ch2 sp, ch2, sc in the next sc, ch2
*2dc, ch2, 2dc in the next ch2 sp, ch2, sc in the next sc, ch2*
Repeat From * to * all around all 4 sides of the placemat,
Join to the ch1

R: 11 – sc in the 1st ch2 sp, scpt, sc, ch 4, sc in the next sc, ch4,
*sc, pt, sc in the next ch2 sp, ch4, sc in the next sc, ch4*
Repeat From * to * Around, join, tie off weave in your ends.
