The Spring Bunny Pot Holder Is the 3rd 

design in My Spring Pot Holder Series. 

This Chick is super sweet, cute and a little silly.

 It is as easy to stitch up, as it is fun to make 

 and give. 

Any of The 3 Spring Pot Holder Designs can also

 be made into sweet little pillow Stuffies.

Just make 2 and stitch them together and stuff.

If you are using the Spring Bunny as pot holder or Hot pad, 

stitch it up with cotton yarns. But if you are using it as

 a decoration, than Acrylic yarn is just fine.

Never put anything hot off the stove or from the oven 

on a Acrylic pad as it will melt and you could burn yourself.

If you want the pot holder to be thicker, stitch up 2 

hot pad circles, and stitch them together on the shell stitch.

This will protect your table and kitchen surfaces, 

as well as your hands.

Skill: Easy
 
Materials:
Crochet Hook – H / 5.00 MM
Yarn – Med (4) Cotton – Premier Cotton (C1- pink 1 oz, C2- white 1 oz.
             Small Amount of 3 colors of Choice For Flowers
Yarn Needle
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slst Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Skip (sk)
Change to (chgto)
 
Size: 8.5 Inches
 
Notes:
Ch3 Counts as a dc
Round are joined to the ch3 with slst, unless indicated otherwise.
 
Pattern:

R: 1 – With C1, Ch 5, join in a circle, ch 3, 9 dc in the circle, join, ch3 (10dc)

 
R: 2- 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc, join, ch 3 (20dc)

R: 3 - 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 2 dc in each dc, join (40dc)

R: 4 –1 dc in the next 2 dc,
*2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 3 dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (50 dc)

 
R: 5 – Chgto C2, 1 dc in the next 3 dc,
*2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 4 dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (60 dc)

R: 6 - 1 dc in the next 4 dc,
*2 dc in the next dc, 1 dc in the next 5 dc*
Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 1 (70 dc)

Repeat R: 1 - R: 6 for the Double Pot Holder and Stuffie pillow.

R; 7 –Chgto C1, *Sc In the 1^st 6 dc, 2 sc in the next dc*
Repeat from * to * around, join to the 1^st sc,
*Ch 12, slst in the same sc*

 tie off, weave in your ends.

Skip the loop hanger for the stuffie pillow

 Double Pot Holder or Stuffie Pillow

Place the 2 circes together, right sides out and St R: 7,

Sewing them together.

For The Pillow leave an opening for stuffing, stuff, then sew closed. 
 
Ears:
R: 1 – With C1, Ch19, 2 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, 

1 sc in the next 16 sc, 2 sc in the last ch,
Turn working down the opposite side of the ch,
2 sc in the 1^st sc, 1 sc next 16 sc, 2 sc in the last ch, join to the 1^st sc, ch 1
 
R: 2 – 1 sc in each sc around, join,
 
R: 3 – Chgto C2, slst in each sc around, join, tie of  weave in ends.
 
Gather the center of the ears to form 2 ears,
sew in place with needle and matching yarn.
 
Paws: Make 2
 With C1, ch 2, 6 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, join to 1^st sc, ch 1
2 sc in each sc around, join to 1^st sc, tie off leaving a 10 in yarn
 tail for sewing paws on.
 
With C2, and needle, stitch 2 straight stitched to form the paws.
Sew in place with needle, and yarn tail
 
 
Face: Embroider with white yarn as shown in the picture.
 

Flowers: Make 3
Ch2, 6 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, join to the 1 st sc,
*Ch 7, slst in the next sc*
Repeat From * to * 5 more times for 6 flower petals,
Tie off, leaving a 10 in tail of yarn for sewing on pot holder.
Sew Flowers on as shown in picture.
