It's Friday Fun Day And what a great way to have
fun on a Friday than to stitch up
The Spiffy Chicken and Turkey Pot Holder.
And even make them into a Stuffie Pillow!
They were so fun to design and stitch up.
I was designing the Spiffy Chicken And thought,
This would make a great Spiffy Turkey too!
And then I thought, what a fun and silly pillow!
And So , The Spiffy Chicken And Turkey Pot Holder,
And Stuffie Pillow all combined into
one fun crochet pattern.
They are great for Chicken People,
and great for Thanksgiving, too.

Crochet Hook – H / 5.00 mm.
Yarn – Med (4) Acrylic or Cotton – Small Amount of orange, black, white
For Chicken – Cream – 2 oz, Red .5 oz.
For Turkey – Light Brown – 1.5 oz., Fall Variegated - 1 oz.

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Materials:
Crochet Hook – H / 5.00 mm.

ch from the hook,
dc in each ch across, turn, ch 3 (15 dc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Skip (sk)
Space (sp)
Double Crochet Together (dctog) decrease
Change to (chgto)

Dctog the last 2 dc, turn, ch 1 (19 dc)

Dctog the last 2 dc, tie off weave in your ends. (13 dc)

Place the 2 ovals
together, right sides facing out,
Join matching yarn to the right side at the bottom of R: 9,
Evenly sc around, sewing the 2 pieces together,
Join to the 1st sc with a slst.
only sew through the top layer.

Evenly sc around, sewing the 2 pieces together,

For Chicken do not change colors,
*sk the next sc, 2dc, ch1, 2dc in the next sc,
sk the next sc, sc in the next sc, *
Repeat From * to * 2 more times
For Chicken Chgto to red yarn,
do not cut yarn when changing
colors, carry it across.
For Turkey Do not change colors
Repeat From * to * 3 more
times,
Repeat From * to * 2 more times
Make sure the 3 shell stitches are center on top of the head.
Turn working back across the shell stitches,
Repeat From * to * 8 times changing colors as needed
for the Chicken, tie off weave your ends.
ch from the hook, join, ch1 (6sc)
2 sc in each sc around, join to the sc
2 sc in each sc around, join to the sc
with a slst, (12sc) tie off leaving a
9 inch tai of yarn for sewing in place.
With Black yarn add a
French on to the eye.
Place on the Hot Pad and
sew in place.
9 inch tai of yarn for sewing in place.
from the hook, ch1, turn (2sc)
R: 2 - 2 sc in the each sc, ch 1,
turn (4 sc)
R: 3 - 2 sc in the 1st sc,
1 sc in the next 2 sc,
2 sc in the last sc, ch1, turn (6sc)
sc evenly
down the side of the beak, sc, ch1, sc in the point of the beak,

evenly up the side of the beak,
Join to the 1st sc, tie off leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn.
Weave in your ends and sew the beak onto the front of the Hot Pad
Feet –
*Ch 5, slst in the 2nd ch from the hook, slst in the next ch,
slst in the 2nd ch from the hook, and in the next 2 chs*
Repeat 1 times, slst in the next sc,
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, join, tie off weave in Your ends.
Join to the 1st sc, tie off leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn.
Weave in your ends and sew the beak onto the front of the Hot Pad
*Ch 5, slst in the 2nd ch from the hook, slst in the next ch,
slst in the 2nd ch from the hook, and in the next 2 chs*
Repeat 1 times, slst in the next sc,
Repeat From * to * 2 more times, join, tie off weave in Your ends.
With red yarn, ch 7, turn,
slst in the next 2 chs, sc in the next 2 chs, hdc in the last 2 chs, tie off.
attach to the side of the turkey beak.
