🌷🌼The Garden Party Mug Rug🌻🌹 

is a sweet coaster for a 

garden party whether indoors or outside.

Or just to bring some Springtime in your home.

They are a little bigger than your average coasters,

measuring 5 X 6 inches. They are perfect size 

for adults and childrens cups, mugs and glasses.

The pattern is a basic single crochet

 stitched in the back loops only design,

 and features four rose buds. 

One rose bud is placed at each corner,

that gives it the garden party feel.

Let's have a garden party. Whether for adults

 or a tea party with the  kids, 

the mug rugs make it so much fun.

Materials:
Crochet Hook: H / 5 mm.
Yarn: Cotton Med. (4) Crafters Secret / Hobby Lobby 
                  C1 Lemon Lime Twist 1 oz.
                  C2 – Lime Green 1 oz.
                  C3 – Turquoise 1 oz.
Yarn needle
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Back Loop Only (BLO)
Change to (chgto)
Picot Stitch (pcst)
 
Special Stitch:
3 Double Crochet Cluster (3dccl)
Yo, insert hook in the next st, yo, pull the yarn through the st, yo,
Pull the yarn through the 2 loops on the hook
Repeat 2 more times – You will have 2“uncompleted dc”
YO, pull yarn through all 3 loops on the hook
 
Size: 5 x 5 inches
 
Notes:
ch1 does not Count as a st
 
Pattern:

R: 1 – With C1, ch 17, sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook,
Sc in each ch across, turn, ch 1 (16 sc)

R: 2 – BLO, sc in each sc across, turn, ch 1 (16 sc BLO)

R: 3 - BLO, sc in each sc across, turn, ch 1 (16 sc BLO)

R: 4 – R: 18 – Repeat R: 3

R: 19 - Chgto C2, Tie Off C1, Turn,
Sc across the top of the mug rug, sc, ch2, sc in the corner,
Sc evenly the last 3 sides, placing a sc, ch2, sc in the corners,
 Join to the 1^st sc, with a slst, ch1.

R: 20 – Sc across to the ch2 in the 1st corner, pcst in sc,
*Chgto C3, 3dccl in the ch2 sp, Chgto C2, pcst in the next sc*

Carry C3 and stitch over the yarn,
Repeat From * to * 3 more times,
 join to the 1^st st, tie off weave in the ends.
