The No Worry Monster And Lovey Blanket Crochet Pattern | Posh Pooch Designs

The No Worry Monster And
 Lovey Blanket Crochet Pattern

By Sara Sach of  Posh Pooch Designs

This Idea Came to me when my Friend was telling
me about her son going to camp for the first time.
He was afraid the kids would tease him
if He took his favorite stuffed animal with him.

I designed the

little stuffed "No

 Worry Monster"

 that is small

enough to hide

from his friends,

but might bring

 him some

comfort.

And If they do see it,

It's Just A Cute Silly Monster!

It  is designed using

Sweet Home Blanket Yarn by Red Heart Yarn

 Which is a Bulky (6)

So it is Fuzzy, Soft and Squishy.

I decided to call this Cute Monster a

"No Worry Monster", because in our conversation

his mom said, "I just wish he would stop worrying,

 and have fun."

embroider the eyes on in place of the Safety Eyes.

Place the Front and the back together with the right sides out.
With C3, Join yarn to the right bottom corner of the Monster.
Sc evenly around the monster stitching the front and the back together.
Leave the bottom open for stuffing, but do not cut yarn.

COFFEE AND CROCHET WITH SARA (13) Let's Talk Tension and Gauge | Posh Pooch Designs

COFFEE AND CROCHET WITH SARA (13) Let's Talk Tension And Gauge
With Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs
🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞🌞

 at This LINK

What is Tension and Gauge when it  comes to Crochet?

What is Tension?
Tension is basically how tight or loose you Crochet Hook.

 What is Gauge?
Gauge is determined By Rows X Stitches. The Yarn label will state
 For Example:

US 1/ 5.5 MM Crochet Hook
12 S X  15 R = 4 X 4 inch swatch
This means 12 single crochet stitches X 15 Rows
will equal a Gauge swatch that is
4 inches wide X 4 inches tall.

Why is this important?
It will help you determine how tight your tension is.
If Your swatch measures bigger or small them it should, you know you need to change your tension.

Try a different blend or fiber -
just stay in the same weight.

3.Change the
 hooks -
Chang hooks sizes
 and see what happens.

4. Change the length and width
Add or Subtract stitches where needed.
Remember to measure as you go.

5. Change Both
 the Yarn
and Hook - Go  Smaller
or Bigger.
