Skill : Easy

Materials:

Hook: H ( for the blanket) and F ( puppy)

Yarn Needle

Stitch marker

Yarn: Worsted Weight Yarn - I used Red heart super saver -

2 solid colors and 1 variegated - 2 oz of each, and a small amount of block

Stuffing For Puppy Head

Stitches:

Chain (ch)

Slip Stitch (sl st)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Space (sp)

Size: 12 X 12 inches

Crochet Pattern : Blanket-

Note: Use H - Hook,

You are basically making a 6 point granny square

Ch 3 counts as a dc at the beginning of each round.

R : 1 - With varigated yarn, Start with a magic circle, in the magic circle, 

Ch3 counts as a dc), 2 dc, ch 2,  

*3 dc, ch2, Repeat  from * 5 more times,  join to top of  1st ch 3 with a sl st, 

slst to next ch2 sp (6 points)

R : 2 - Ch 3, 2dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the 1st ch 2 space, ch1, 

*3dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch1 in each ch 2 space around, ch 2, join,

 slst to next ch2 sp (6 points)

R : 3 - Ch 3, 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the 1st ch2 space, ch1

 *3dc in the next ch2 space, 3dc, ch 2, 3 dc in each ch 2 space, ch1 *

 Repeat From * to * around, 3 dc in the last ch 2 space, ch2, join to the 1st ch 3, 

 slst to next ch2 sp (6 point)

R : 4 - Ch 3,2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the 1st ch2 space, ch1 

*3dc in the next  2 ch 2 spaces, 3dc, ch 2, 3 dc in each ch 2 space, ch1* 

Repeat From * to * around, 3 dc in the last ch 2 space, ch2, join to the 1st ch 3, 

slst to next ch2 sp (6 point)

R : 5 - Ch 3,2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the 1st ch2 space, ch1 

*3dc in the next  3 ch 2 spaces, 3dc, ch 2, 3 dc in each ch 2 space, ch1 *

 Repeat From * to * around, 3 dc in the last ch 2 space, ch2, join to the 1st ch 3, 

slst to next ch2 sp (6 point)

R : 6 - Ch 3,2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc in the 1st ch2 space, ch1 

*3dc in the next  4 ch 2 spaces, 3dc, ch 2, 3 dc in each ch 2 space, ch1 * 

Repeat From * to * around, 3 dc in the last ch 2 space, ch2,, join to the 1st ch 3,

 slst to next ch2 sp (6 point)

If you would like your Blanket bigger, you can continue with

 the same pattern, for an many rounds as you like.

R : 7 - Change to a solid color yarn, ch 3, 5 dc in the 1^st ch2 sp, 

1 dc in each st and ch across to 1st corner, *6 dc in the next corner st, 

1 dc in each st and ch across to 1st corner*, 

Repeat from * to * for all sides and corners, join to the 1st ch 3.

R : 8 - Change to the 2nd solid yarn, Ch 1, 1 sc in each st around,

repeat for all sides and corner, join to the  ch 1, tie off and weave in all your ends.

Learning To Read Crochet Diagrams

I have been wanting to learn how

to  read Crochet Diagrams, 

but have been a little afraid to try.

Then I cam across this Chart.

I found it on this page :

Since Valentines Day is coming,

 I decided to try this pretty heart.

I think my first try at a 

Crochet Diagram,

turned out pretty good.

I used a F-hook 

and I Love This Yarn, 

Worsted Weight yarn.

M & M Candy Crochet Hook Holder

How to make a 

Crochet Hook Holder out of the 

M & M Minis Candy container.

First, Buy a M & M Minis Container, 

and eat the M & Ms.

They are usually located

at the checkouts.

FYI :  the entire container only has 250 calories.

Next, remove the label. 

What you will need:

H - Crochet Hook

a few oz. of Worsted Weight yarn-

(I used Red heart black light)

1 cute small button

Stitches:

Single Crochet  (sc)

Slip Stitch ( sl st)

Pattern :

Note-Stitched in the round

R : 1 - Ch 2, 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, ( 6sc)

R : 2 - 2 sc in each sc, (12 sc)

R : 3 - *1 sc in the 1st sc, 2 sc in the next sc, Repeat From *, ( 18 sc) 

R - 4 - 1 sc in each sc, ( 18 sc)

R : 5-25 -  Repeat R : 4 

R : 26 - Sl st around the top of tube for a finished Edge.

Lid: Repeat R : 1-4, the sl st to the 9th sc, ch 10, sl st in the same st, this forms your button loop, sl st the last 9 sts, tie off leaving a 9 inch tail. use that tail to sew the lid onto the tube.

Finish: Slip the container into the tube, push the lid up inside the lid portion, use the loop to button the lid in place. 

The lid of the container will not snap shut. 

You can cut it off, but I left mine

 to help keep the form of the lid.

Slip your hooks inside and 

keep this in your to go 

Yarn project bag.

 You can also add a clip 

and clip it to the inside of the strap

of your bag.

For Me or Maximo?

 I was working on a 

Pink and Brown Shell Stitch 

hat and scarf set.

The hat pattern I used is a 

combination of 2 patterns.

The top part, pink part is from 

"Cre8tion Crochet"

Adult Spring or Easter Hat

Then I added a sc ban instead 

of the floppy band.

And a simple flower.

The scarf is the same 

shell stitch pattern, 

worked in rows, 

Well, I went to get coffee, and.....

Maximo snatched the hat 

off the coffee table

 and pulled it onto the couch.

I think he likes it.

But really Maximo and Rosie 

think everything I crochet is for them.

Reflective Yarns

Reflective Yarns are all the Rage!

Well, I ordered 12  skeins of reflective yarn

 from Joann's web page.

 I got a notice 3 days later, 

that it was all out of stock,

then, I go on line 

and it shows it is IN stock.

I was totally bummed! :(

Then I decided to make  a trip 

to Joann's here in town.

And they are out of Stock.

 So, I went to Micheal's. 

They didn't have a clue 

what I was talking about.

Lastly, I went to Hobby Lobby,

Where I found it!

I Love This Yarn Reflective Yarn.

They only had it in yellow and orange,

But,

Look closely at the Label.

It is blurry, but, It says, 

" Reflective PET Yarn"!

I Looked on line,

 to see if there where other colors, 

 but couldn't even find 

the reflective yarn on 

Hobby Lobby's webpage.

I  did pick up a couple of other things....

Some Bright neon variegated yarn, 

and some collar clips!

I see some new
