QUESTIONS ABOUT MY POOCHES?

1. Why does Rosie always look like she
 is going to cry?

When Rosie was about 5 months old,
She developed what is called Cherry eyes. The 2nd
flap or eye lid of her eyes had to be removed, so this makes her eyes look watery all the time.

2. Why does Maximo squint his eye all the time.

Maximo is very sensitive to bright lights, and the sun.
So he squints his eyes like we do.

3. Why don't your dog's Smile in their pictures.

Well, Do do not smile like we do.
They wag their tails and their eyes Light up
when they are happy.  It may seem like they are not happy,
but they really are very happy.
Crochet Related Questions:

1. Is Crochet just For old ladies?
Um...NO!
But you can learn a lot from older ladies and men who learned to crochet without the help of Youtube.

2. If you crochet, I assume you
can knit too? or Visa Versa?

What a Silly notion.
They are 2 completely different arts.
That's like saying, if you can drive a car, I assume
you can fly a plane.

3. I bought or found a great pattern,
But the designer made it with red yarn,
Can I made it Blue?

You can use any color of yarn you like,
just make sure the yarn weight is the same.

4. I don't have the crochet hook size the Pattern
is calling for, can I use a bigger
or smaller hook?

It is best to use the size hook called for in the
pattern. If you must go up or down a hook size,
try to match the gauge or size indicated by the
pattern.

5. I can not afford expensive yarns,
is it okay to buy and use inexpensive yarn.

Absolutely, There is a lot of beautiful yarn out there
that is reasonably priced. I do on occasion purchased expensive yarns, but only for a specific pattern or purpose.

Our "Bark Box" Came In | Posh Pooch Designs

I received A "Bark Box" For my Pooches
the other day! and We Love it!
What is a "Bark Box" you ask?

Basically, you receive a Box of Goodies,
toys and stuff each month,
put together especially for your pooches.

We had so much fun checking out the new fun stuff!
It was a beautiful day, so we went out on
the back deck to play.
Their favorite treat was The Chew Bone called
 Chickie Twizzies.
It was a little big for them, so I broke it in to 6 pieces.
They chewed on them all day and into the evening!
It got too hot so we went under the covered deck
to play.
The little Squeaker phone was the Favorite toy.
Looks like Maximo is ordering a pizza!
"Ruff, Ruff...Can you hear me now ...Bow Wow?"
I put down the 2 toys to see which toy they liked best,
and they ignored them both, and
just kept chewing on their Chew bones.
So What was in the Bark Box?
Duck Tots Dog Treats -  They Loved Them!

Chickie Twizzies Dog Chew - They Loved It!

GIGA Bite Pork Flavored Treats - Maximo did not car for them
     Rosie Will eat anything.
They Smelled really salty to me, we will try them again later.

Skate Toy - Really Liked it.

Squeaker Phone - Love it so much they fought over it.

Here is Maximo and Rosie Fighting over the Squeaker Phone!
Even Pooches like their phones!

The Box had fun new things I had never seen,
and new products are always fun to try.
We Can hardly wait to see what next month's
Bark Box will have in it!

Swirling Rainbow Blanket Crochet Pattern And Red Heart Stripes Yarn Review | Posh Pooch Designs

Swirling Rainbow Blanket Crochet Pattern
 By Sara Sach
My 4 year old Grand daughter thought
I should call this Blanket "The Unicorn Poop Blanket".

I think it is an adorable name!
What do you think? Should I change the name?

The Blanket is a Pentagon Shape with 5 corners, and 5 sides.
It is trimmed with a fun heart edge.
It would be great as a summer blanket, stroller blanket,
lap blanket, a dog or pet rug, a floor rug, or just a blanket
to keep in the car for chilly days.
The Blanket measures 24 x 24 inches, but if you want to
make it bigger, continue to stitch as many rows as you want.

This Pattern is designed using Red Heart's New Yarn,
Super Saver Stripes.
The Color I used is called "Bright Stripes."
I Love the thickness and feel of the yarn.
It is a Worsted weight (4) like the other Super Saver yarns,
but it feels smoother. The yarn also has a shiny Sheen to it.
I especially love the Striping effect.
Long stripes of bright colors and a pop of Black
 between the colors.

I chose to call the Blanket Swirling Rainbows
because as you work the Pentagon around,
the bright colors seem to swirl.
Some projects and yarns you just work them to get done,
But this yarn is so fun to see how all the stripes work out.

Live With Sara " That's A Wrap, or A Shawl" | Posh Pooch Designs

Live Video Chat with Sara Sach
 From
We are discussing The Question,
"Is It A Wrap, A Shawl or A Triangle Scarf?"
Many people think no one wears Shawls or Wraps any more,
 except "little old ladies",
but they are wrong!
I Love them all and with all the wonderful new yarns,
you can make them modern, elegant and classy!

See The Video on my Youtube Channel
 at This LINK

A Wrap - A Wrap is usually a large Rectangle that is
literally wrapped around the body.

A Shawl - A Shawl Usually a Large Triangle shaped Wrap
the is wrapped around the Shoulders.

A Triangle Scarf - The Triangle Scarf is usually made
similar to the Shawl only more narrow, and usually only
 wrapped around the neck.

Many Designers will call them by different names,
like a Wrap Shawl, or Shawlette.
There is also a New Tend called a Mega Scarf
Which is a huge scarf that is wrapped around the neck
and body. I am wearing one in the first picture.
It is more of  a Skinny blanket or afghan, and I Love it.
But I am cold all the time..Even in summer.

Live With Sara Yarn Weights and Substitutions | Posh Pooch Designs

Live    With      Sara
of
Posh Pooch Designs

My Hubby Yarn Shopping with me!
See The Video on my Youtube Channel
 at This LINK
Today we are discussing
Yarn Weights and Substitutions.

All Yarns are classified into different yarn weights.
This refers to the yarn's strand thickness.

          0. Lace
             1. Super fine –Sock, Fingering
             2. Fine –Baby, Sport Weight
             3. Light  - Light Worsted Weight, DK Weight
             4. Worsted Weight, Afghan
             5. Bulky – Chunky weight, Rug yarns
             6. Super Bulky – Blanket
             7. Jumbo - Roving
Although most yarns are put in these categories,
there is still " wiggle" room between thicknesses.

What if I do not have the correct weight the
pattern calls for, Can I substitute a
different yarn or weight?
The answer is yes, but it can be a little tricky.

Maximo is doing a lot better
and is on the mend.
