"Obsessive Chihuahua Disorder" Calendar

Maximo won a photo contest on the
Obsessive Chihuahua Disorder
Facebook Fan page for the photo of him in his
Tuxedo Sweater.
The gift was a OCD Calendar!
I was ,  I mean Maximo was  very excited to receive the Calendar in the mail, as he is a big fan.

This is a very well put together Calendar, with thick Card stock pages and a metal spring type  binding. This is no cheesy calendar you would buy at your local discount store.

See how enamored Maximo's is with the Calendar. ( He was licking the front cover).

Each Month has a darling picture of one of the OCD chihuahuas. The month shown is November and guess what? Bebe is wearing a Posh Pooch Designs turkey Hat, that I made!  I am so honored and excited. I put the pic next to Rosie wearing her turkey hat.  Bebe's is much smaller, though.

The OCD Calendar now is hung in the center of my Office were Maximo can see it every day!

Maximo says, "Thank you OCD for my wonderful Calendar,
 from your #1 Fan!

Dog Woobie Crochet Pattern

Woobie Dog Toy Crochet Pattern
Kids like them, too!
By Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs

First of all: What is a Dog Woobie?

A Dog Woobie is a long, about 12 inches or longer,
Stuffed Dog toy, usually shaped like a dog.
Some of them have squeakers, some do not.
It is totally up to you if you want to put a squeaker in
it or not. My Rosie Bell, aka Chihuahua model # 2,
is terrified of the Squeaking sound and runs away
from them. Maximo, aka Chihuahua model #1,
on the other hand, loves the Squeaker and loves to
make it squeak, but probably just to annoy Rosie.

Note about Squeakers and dogs:
My friend has a Doxie who loves to eat toys with squeakers in them. She had to take him to the vet for emergency surgery because he had swallowed the squeaker out of his woobie,
not one of mine, and it had lodged in his intestine.
He almost died. So All My Woobies will not  have the
Squeakers in them.
Maximo says, "Don't touch my Woobie"!

♥♥♥Conversation Hearts Dog Collar Crochet Pattern ♥♥♥

♥♥♥   Conversation Hearts Dog Collar Crochet Pattern    ♥♥♥

As I was cleaning out some 20 + year old Crochet
magazines and books, Some from my Mother-in- law
and some from many different Garage sales,
a piece off paper fell out.

( I Love old vintage crochet patterns)
On it was a hand written
crochet pattern. No pictures, all it said was
"Lil' Heart Crochet Pattern".
It was written in pencil, so the pic I tried to take of it,
did not come out well.  But it looked so easy,
I just had to try it...
And I loved it so much I wanted to share it!

See The Video On my Youtube Channel
at this LINK
Lil' Heart Pattern:
Skill : Sooooo very Easy

Materials:
Hook: H
Yarn needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Double Crochet (dc)
Treble Crochet (tr)

Pattern:
Please, Add this Crochet pattern to Your

Ch 4, work in the forth ch from the hook,
" 3 tr, 3 dc, chain 1, 1 tr, ch 1, 3 dc, 3 tr, ch 3, sl st,"
leave a 8 in tail of yarn, and pull to the back.

Closing the Hole in the Center:
Thread the tail of yarn on to the yarn needle, then on the back side of the heart  draw the yarn through all the loops in the circle, and secure the yarn.

To make hearts into the Dog Collar :
Measure your dogs neck. Each heart measures approximately 2 inches. make as many hearts as you need to equal your dog's neck measurement.

Maximo's neck is 10 inches so I need 5 hearts.

Slip stitch the hearts together with matching yarn. ch 25 or more, depending on how long you want your ties to be, then attach to end of heart and slip stitch back up the ch. I usually tie a know in the end to help it keep from unraveling.

If you think the hearts are too big you can always go down a hook size or two.

Maximo modeling the Conversation Hearts Dog collar

I tied the bow to the back, but you can even
put beads on the tie and tie it to the front,
as well as put gems on the hearts!

I Love This Lil' Heart Crochet Pattern!
You can add them to anything!

Enjoy!

P.S. Next weeks free Crochet Pattern is a "Woobie".
So, Do you know what a "woobie" is?
