Silly Spooky Holiday Hat
 Crochet Pattern

This Hat Crochet Pattern Will Work For 6 different Hat Styles.
Pumpkin      Ghost
Candy Corn         Gingerbread 
Elf                        Santa

It's a Basic Chunky Pointed Hat.
And all six hats where made from this pattern.

It's Silly. It's Spooky and it's Holiday fun!
The only differences are the Yarn colors and 
of course a few details.
The Hat is designed in  3 sizes - 
Child, Youth and Adult
They Stitch up super fast because,
 They are  crocheted 
using 2 strands of Worsted Weight (4) yarn
 and an N/ 9.00 crochet hook.

All Styles of Hats are crocheted exactly the same, just with different color yarns.

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet Hook – N / 9.00MM
Yarn - Worsted weight (4) (5 - 6 oz. depending on size)
           (Your choice of Colors depending which hat you are making)
            Small Amount of Black for Face                 
Yarn Needle

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)
Change (chg)

Size: Approximate Sizes
Child - 16 -17 inches, Youth – 18-19, Adult – 20-22 inches

Notes:
Hat is worked using 2 strands at all times.
Ch 3 at beginning of Rounds counts as 1st Double Crochet.
Rounds are joined with a slip Stitch to the Ch 3.
When changing colors, ch3 after the color change.

R: 1 –Ch5, join in a circle, ch3, 5 dc in the circle, join, ch 3

 (6 dc)

R: 2 – Ch3 counts as 1st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,
1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the next 2 dc,
1 dc in the next dc, 2 dc in the last dc, join, ch 3. (10 dc)


R: 3 – Ch3 counts as 1st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,

2 dc in each st around, join, ch 3 (20 dc)


R: 4 - Ch3 counts as 1st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,
*1 dc in the next st, 2 dc in the next st* Repeat From * to * around,
 Join, ch 3 (30 dc)

Skip to R: 7 For Child size.

R: 5 - Ch3 counts as 1st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,
*1 dc in the next 2 sts, 2 dc in the next st*
Repeat From * to * around,
 Join, ch 3 (40 dc)

Skip to R: 7 For Youth size.

R: 6 - Ch3 counts as 1st dc, 1 dc in the same st as the ch3,
*1 dc in the next 3 sts, 2 dc in the next st*
Repeat From * to * around,
 Join, ch 3 (50dc)

R : 7 – 1 dc in each dc around, join, ch 3 (30 dc, 40 dc, 50 dc)

R : 8 – Repeat R: 7

R: 9 – Repeat R: 7

Skip to R: 13 For child Size

R: 10 - Repeat R: 7

Skip to R; 13 For Youth Size

R: 11 - Repeat R: 7
If more length is needed, add more rows here.

R: 12 – *1 dc in the 1st st, 1 fpdc in the next st*
Repeat From * to * around, join, ch 3 (30 sts, 40 sts, 50 sts)

R: 13  - Repeat R: 13, tie off and weave in your ends.

Eyes: Make 2 using 2 strands of black yarn
With clack ch 4, 9 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, join to top of ch 3,
 tie off leaving a 12 inch tail of yarn. Sew onto front of bandanna. (10dc)

Smile: Use 2 strands of black yarn
Embroider on a silly or spooky smile using straight stitches.



Now add Buttons, bows, pom poms and tassels.
