The Heidi Headband Crochet Pattern | Posh Pooch Designs

The Heidi Headband Crochet Pattern

By Sara Sach of  Posh Pooch Designs

I had some left over Mandala Cake Yarn From Lion Brand
from a previous project and thought I would update The
Heidi Headband.

It works perfectly.
I Love when a plan comes together.

I originally named it Heidi because it reminds me of the movie
Heidi and the braid she wore across her head.
And The fact that it is completely adjustable for any
 size head, is a plus.

Notes:
Ch1 Does Not Count as a st

R: 1 – Ch 11, 1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, and in the next 4 chs,
Ch 9, slst in the top of the hdc to form a loop,
1 hdc in the last 5 chs, ch 1, turn. (5 hdc, ch9, 5 hdc)

R: 2- 1 hdc in each hdc cross, ch1, turn. (10 dc)

R: 3 – 1 hdc in the 1st 5 hdc, ch9, slst in the top of the hdc,
1 hdc in the last 5 hdc, ch1, turn. (5 hdc, ch9, 5 hdc)
I prefer to loop the loops as I go,
But you can wait till the last row and loop them then, if you prefer.

R: 4 - 1 hdc in each hdc cross, ch1, turn. (10 dc)

R: 5 – R: 44 – Repeat R: 3 and R: 4, Alternating rows

Do not tie off after R: 44

Add More or Less Rows to adjust the pattern.

Place to ends of the headband together and slst the ends to form the headband.

Push all the Ch 9 loops to the front of the headband, and loop them through.

Place and sew the button on the headband
so the last loop can be looped over the button.
