The One Eyed Monster Headbands are so cute and funny.
They are great last minute Halloween Costume, 
for both adults and kids. 
They adjust easily because it is a tie that is 
made to fit anyone.



Just grab a sweatshirt or top that matches and you've
 got a quick and easy costume! They make great photo
 props, as well.
They are another great way to use up your yarn stash.
You can use any colors or fibers of your choosing, 
and make lots of different monsters.

One Eyed Monster Headbands Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy
 
Materials:
 Crochet Hook – J / 6.00 Mm - headband
                           Mani Color (MC) Green 1 oz.
                           C2 1 oz.- white Eyes, Pupil – Purple Small Amount
        Headband is stitched Holding 2 strands of yarn together
Yarn Needle
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slipstitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Double Crochet together (dctog)
Size: One Size Fits all, as it’s tie headband
 
Notes:
Headband And Monster Eye is stitched Holding 2 strands of yarn together
Ch3 Does Count as a dc
When Changing Colors ch1 after the color change
 
Pattern:
R: 1 – Holding 2 strands of yarn together, With MC, 
Holding 2 strands together, Ch 22,
Ch2 more, 2 dc in the 4th ch from the hook, 
(ch3 at the beginning counts as dc)
turn, Ch3 (3 dc, 22 chs let for tie)


R: 2 – 1 dc in the same st as the ch3, 1 dc in the next dc,
 2 dc in the last dc, Turn, ch 3 (5 dc)

 
R: 3 – 1 dc in each dc across, turn, ch 3 (5dc)


R: 4 –  1 dc in each dc across, turn, ch 3 (5dc)

 
R: 5 - R: 21 – Continue To Repeat R: 4
Ch1 after R: 21

R: 22 – Dctog the 1st 2 dc, dc in the next dc, dctog the last 2 dc,
Turn, ch1 (3dc)


R: 23 – Dctog the last 3 dc, ch 20, tie off.
Knot the ends of both ties.


The Monster Eye
 
R: 1 – With C3, Holding 2 strands of yarn together,
Ch2, 7 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook, join to the 1st sc, (7sc)
 

R: 2 – Chgto C2, ch1, 2 hdc in each sc, join to the 1st hdc, (14 sc)



R: 3 – Chgto MC, ch1, Hdc in the 1st hdc, 
*2 hdc in the next hdc, hdc in the next hdc*
Repeat From * to * around 
join to the 1st hdc, tie off weave in all the ends. (21 sc)


Optional: For a Creepy Effect.
Thread 1 strand of red yarn onto the needle and st a few stitches
to look blood shot.


Horns: 
Ch 8, hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, slst in each ch,
Ch 8, hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, tie off.
Place on headband, attach securely onto the top of the eye.
 

Attach eye to top edge, centered on the headband.
 Sew on with whip stitches.


Wear them with a Matching color top, sweatshirt or sweater. 
And you have a last minute, cute costume for Halloween.
