FOR A FUN CROCHET PATTERN!
The Cotton Pencil Bag is the perfect Crochet
Pattern for any one going back to school,
teachers and kids, alike. And anyone who likes to
have their pens and pencil with them.
It also makes a nice crochet hook bag to
put in your project bag, and take a long with you.
As well as, a cosmetic and Make-up bag.
The Pencil bag is designed using Premier Home Cotton
Yarn in the Turquoise Stripe color. It is striped with
beautiful shades of blues and greens.
Although you can use any medium (4) Cotton yarn.
The Button and Charms you choose are completely
up to you. You can personalize it however you like
or for the person you are making it for.
One thing is for sure, no one will have one like yours.

Yarn - Cotton Med (4) Premier home Cotton/ Turquoise Stripe/ 1 skein - 1.94 oz.
½ inch Button
Key Ring
Charms of Choice
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Do not join, we are stitching in the round,
unless stated otherwise.
Ch1 does not count as a st.
1 sc in the next 9 chs, 2 sc in the last ch, (13 sc)
2 sc in the 1st ch, 1 sc in the next 9 chs,
2 sc in the last ch, (13 ch)
Do Not join, we are working in the round,
Place a st marker in the last sc,
13 + 13 = 26 sc
R: 33 – Bag
Flap - 1 Sc in the 1st 13 sc, turn, ch1
(Leave the last 13 sc unworked)

Make sure the 13 sc are centered on the back of the bag.
R: 34 – 1 sc
in the 13 sc, turn, ch 1
1 sc in each sc, ch1
Turn working down the side of the flap,
evenly sc down the side, ch1, join to the 1st sc
Turn working down the side of the flap,
evenly sc down the side, ch1, join to the 1st sc
Sc around
the top edge in the 1st 6 sc,
ch 10, sc in
the last 7th sc to form a loop,
sk 1 sc, sc in the last 3 sc,
even sc up the other side of the flap,
and across the edge of the flap.

Place button and sew in place
Add Charms or keyrings of choice.
