The Christmas Tree Coaster also makes

 a wonderful Christmas ornament. 

It Measure about 6 X 6 inches so it is just the right

 size for a coaster, an ornament and a gift tag, also.

I designed it with Hobby Lobby, I Love This Yarn

 Metallic Yarn, using the red and green colorways.

 Any Sparkle or non Sparkle yarn will work. 

I just really love the metallic  yarns for Christmas

 And Holiday decorations.

It's sparkles in the lights and make every so festive.

You can use your choice of decorative buttons

 and beads for the personal touches you want.

These Christmas tree ornaments are quick to 

stitch up, and are just as much to make,

 as they are fun to give and use.

Materials:
Crochet Hook – H / 5 mm.
Yarn – Med (4) Acrylic – C1- I Love This Yarn Metallic / Green
                                            C2 - I Love This Yarn Metallic / red or Silver
Decorative Button 

3 or 4 small pony beads
Yarn Needle
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Space (sp)
Picot Stitch (pcst) ch2, slst in the top of the previous dc
 
Size: 6 X 6 inches
 
Notes:
Ch3 Counts as a dc
C1 does not count as a st
 
R: 1- Ch 5,  join in a circle, ch3, 2 dc, ch1 in the circle,
*3 dc, ch1, in the circle*
Repeat From * to * 1 more time,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, slst in the next 2 dc,
slst to the ch1 sp, ch 3
(3 sets of 3 dc, ch1)

R: 2 – 1 dc, ch1, 2 dc in the ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 3 dc,
*2dc, ch1, 2dc in the next ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 3 dc*
Repeat from * to * 1 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, slst in the next dc,
slst to the ch1 sp, ch 3
(3 sets of 7 dc, ch1)

R: 3 - 1 dc, ch1, 2 dc in the ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 7 dc,
*2dc, ch1, 2dc in the next ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 7 dc*
Repeat from * to * 1 more times,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, slst in the next dc,
slst to the ch1 sp, ch 3

 join to the 1^st sc with a slst, tie off weave in your ends.

R: 6 – join C2 to the 6^th sc from the right, ch1,
Sc in this and the next 5 sc, turn, ch 1 (6sc)
 
R: 7 – 1 sc in each of the 6 sc, tie off weave in your ends.

For Ornament Hanger: If Making an ornament Cut a 10 inch strand
Of yarn of choice, and attach through the top pcst, Tie Knot to secure,
Thread the ends through the needle and add beads of choice.
Tie another know to form a hanger.
 
Add a button of choice to the top of the Christmas Tree.

The Christmas Ornament pattern was written several years

ago, and I decided it was time to up date the pattern,

as well as, film a brand new video. It's a very easy crochet pattern with lots of style

and decorating possibilities. Get in your yarn stash and have some fun using your

creativity. Embellish with buttons, bows, ribbons and yarn.

You can personalize them to the person you are giving

 it to. Made in their Favorite colors and buttons to

 match their personality.

Hook – I/ 5.5 MM
Yarn – Med (4) Acrylic, I Love This Yarn Sparkle – Assort colors of choice.

              Silver Sparkle – Red Heart With love

Assorted Christmas Buttons
Yarn Needle
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
 
Size: 4 X 5 inches
 
Notes:
Ch3 counts as a dc,
Ch1 does not count as a sc
Rounds are join to the ch3 with a slst.
Color choices are up to you.
When changing colors ch3 after the color change.
 
Pattern:
 
R: 1 - Ch 5, Join in a circle, ch3
9 dc in the circle, join, ch3(10dc)

 
R: 2 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3,
2 dc in each st around, join, ch 3
(20dc)

 
R: 3 - 1 dc in the same st as ch3,
2 dc in each st around, join,
tie off weave in your ends.
(40dc)

Repeat R: 1 - R: 3

Do Not Tie off the 2nd circle, unless changing colors.

 R: 4 - Place the 2 circles together, right sides facing out.
Join yarn to any sc, ch1
1 sc in each dc around, join to the 1^st sc

R: 5 -Ornament Top – chgto to silver sparkle yarn
1 sc in the next 4 dc, ch 1, turn
 
 R: 6 - 1 sc in each sc, ch 1, turn
 
R: 7 - sl st in the 1st 2 sc, ch 6 for ornament loop,
Slst in the last 2 sc,
Tie off yarn and weave in ends.

 
Embroider a Tree or Star.
Add Christmas buttons, bows or embellish as you wish.
