Whale Tissue Box Cover By Moogly

The moment I saw this Crochet Pattern,
I knew I had to make
 one for my Guest Bathroom!
It is adorable, fun!
And Whimsical!

My upstairs guest Bathroom is
decorated in beige and light teals,
so I knew the yarn I chose,
would be perfect.

The yarn is Vanna's Choice -
Colors, Blue Lagoon
It has a slight striping effect and
has a really pretty sheen to it.
It took almost 2 full skeins to
make the whale. About 5ozs.

Now For the Pattern:
It is Written and Designed By
Moogly
and can be found here:
Don't you just love the name???

It is a easy to follow, well written pattern.
I made it in about 2 hours,
but I had a few interruptions
from a 22 month old grand daughter.
I didn't mind.
Here is mine close up.
I did made a crochet eye in place
 of the safety eye.
I was out of safety eyes.
It was really fin to make
and I think it adds just a touch of fun
and cuteness to my guest bathroom.

Cat Claws Boots - Crochet Pattern Review

I saw this pattern,
and wanted to make them so bad.
I Love them and thought
my grand kids would get a kick
out of Oma wearing cat claw boot slippers.

The Pattern is Designed  By
MAZ KWOK'S Designs
And you can find the Here:

I had so much fun making these.
 I love the pattern.
It is well written and easy to follow.
I used Red Heart Stripes - Sonoma Stripe
and Red Heart Super Saver Brown yarns.

The only change I made is that
I only stitched 9 rounds, not 11,
for the toe section as I wear a size 5 shoe.
The amount of stitches still
work out the same.

Oh, I found this blog by Moogly

I am going to tell my grand kids that they are
 "Chihuahua Paws"!

You definitely need to
make to make a pair
or 5 of these!

Zeke and Zane - Snappy Tot's Wiggly Giggly Bugs Parker

I had so much fun yesterday,
placing Snappy Tot's
Wiggly Giggly Bugs everywhere I went,
I wanted to share it with you.

I bet you wonder what I am talking about?

You can check it out here on her blog

So I made up some Wiggly giggly Bud
in green and teal,
because I like those 2 colors.
And I headed out for my day.
The First thing I did was pick up my Gym buddy,
and try to scare her with the bugs.
She loved them and called them
Zeke and Zane.
She enjoyed helping get pics
of the bugs everywhere we left them.
So after the gym, we headed to the
Food bank where we help out.
It was lots of fun to let the kids play with the bugs.
(the pic on the left  is my youngest grand daughter)
Then I headed home for a few moments
of rest before heading out again.

 Zeke or Zane, Resting.
We never figured out who was who.
I introduced Zeke and Zane to Maximo and Rosie,
They were not impressed.

Then Hubby took me out for quick bite to eat.

Went to Wednesday Evening Bible Study.
Then headed home.
I don't know about Zeke and Zane,
But I was plumb tuckered out.
But it was so much Fun!!!!

Our Forth of July Week-end Trip

There are 2 things that Make this Trip
different then most trips we take.

1. We did not take the pooches with us.
We left them with our son and his wife.

2. I took a few balls of yarn and some hooks,
but did not do any crocheting, till the very last
 night of our trip.

This Blog Post has a bunch
 of Pictures of the
 Beautiful Colorado Mountains.

If you would like to see a map of our trip,
Just click the link:

I took all these pictures,
so they are not professional shots.
but I think I got some really good
ones, as well as, some fun ones.
