Size:  3 inches wide X 20 inches around.(adult 20 -22 inches head -
remember headbands are stretchy)
Adjustable to Any and All Sizes – 2 Rows = 1 inch

Notes:
Ch 1 Does not Count as a Stitch.

Headband:
R: 1 – Ch 11, 1 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook, 1 hdc in each ch across,
Turn, ch 1 (10 hdc)

R: 2 – BLO, 1 hdc in each hdc, turn, ch 1 (10 hdc)

R: 3 – R: 40 – Repeat R: 2 For a 20 inch head.
Or as many rows as needed for your head size.

Once your headband is as long as need for your head,
tie off leaving a 24 inch tail of yarn.

Wire For The Lights:
Thread a 18 to 24 inch piece of Black Thread onto the needle.
Beginning at the 10th row, stitch the “wire”
For the Christmas lights using long stitches.
I stitch one way, then turn and stitch back the other way.
Leave the last 10 Rows empty.
Tie off and secure the ends of the black yarn.

Remember not to stitch to tightly as the headband needs to be able to stretch.

Christmas Lights:
Cut about an 18 inch of Colorful variegated yarn. Thread it onto your needle.
Coming up through the bottom randomly stitch on the light,
by stitching 1 short stitches together.

I stitch going one way, then turn and fill in more “lights” coming back the other way
So I end at the same place I began. Secure the ends together.

Again remember not to pull to tightly, so the headband can still stretch.

Lastly – Place the ends of the headband together, right side out,
and slst them together with the tail of yarn we left on the headband.
Tie off weaving in the ends.

I Just a great idea,
I think I better get the lights
 on the tree!
But I can not decide which one
 to wear.
Oh!  I better make a red one to go with my Christmas Sweater.
