"Live With Sara" Blocking Acrylic Yarn | Posh Pooch Designs

"Live With Sara"
Blocking Acrylic Yarn
With Sara Sach of  Posh Pooch Designs
This is one of those Questions that I get almost weekly.
Since we are beginning a Grantastic Crochet A Long,
 Which is basically Granny Squares,
it's a good time to talk about blocking.

Spray Blocking
  Blocking board,
or a piece of foam or thick card board.
I purchased my blocking boards at Micheal's for about $5.00.
I have 4 and they fit together nicely.

You need straight pins,
A Spray water bottle, and a clean dish towel.
And the Squares you want to block.
Place the foam Board on top of the towel.
The Towel is just to protect the surface you are working on.
Place the Squares on the the board.

Spray water on the item, ease the corners and
sides how you want them to be shaped.
 Pin the squares in place.

If you are using an unmarked board,
you can measure and mark them, with pins,
 before you start.

You do not need to soak the item, just get it them damp.

Leave it set to dry, about 24 hours.
I like to set them on top of my dryer,
where it's nice and warm.

You can layer your squares if you like.
I usually do 4 squares at a time, then set them aside.

You Do not have to Block your Squares,
it just makes it so much easier to make the project,
if all the squares are the same size, and shape.
