Pumpkin Pillow Crochet Pattern

We are into September and I decided it's time for a Fun,

and Easy Pumpkin Pillow Crochet Pattern.

I also decided to not design the pillow in a traditional

round shape. It's rectangle shape and I love it.

It has lots of texture by using Front Post Double

Crochet Stitches.

The pillow can have a more "classy" look,

by not adding a face.

But if you prefer fun and silliness, here is a video

However you choose to make your pumpkin, it will be

a nice and easy pattern, and add some fall fun to your

decorations. Remember you do not have to make it

with the typical orange and green. Get in your yarn

stash and just have fun with colors.

Skill: Easy

Materials:
Crochet hook – H / 5.00 MM
Yarn – med (4) Acrylic
I Love This Yarn Orange – 4.5 oz. green, 2 oz.
Yarn Needle
Stuffing – Polyfiberfil

Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Front Post Double Crochet (fpdc)
Change to (chgto)

Size: 7 X 9 inches
5 chs = 2 inches
2 Rows = 1 inch
Multiples of 5

Notes:
Ch1 does not count as a st

Pattern:

R: 1 – With orange yarn, Ch 45, join in a circle,
1 sc in each ch around, join to the 1^st sc, ch 1 (45 sc)

R: 2 – 1 sc in each sc around join to the 1^st sc, ch 1, ch3 (45 sc)

R: 3 – 1 hdc in each sc around, join to the 1^st hdc, ch 1 (45 hdc)

R: 4 – 1hdc in the 1^st 3 hdc,
* fpdc in the next 2 hdc, 1 hdc in the next 3 hdc*
Repeat From * to * Around, join to the 1^st hdc, ch 1 (18 fpdc, 27 hdc)

R; 5 - 1hdc in the 1^st 3 hdc,
* fpdc in the next 2 fpdc, 1 hdc in the next 3 hdc*
Repeat From * to * Around, join to the 1^st hdc, ch 1 (18 fpdc, 27 hdc)

R: 6 – R: 17 – Repeat R: 5

Add More Or less Rows To adjust the length of the pumpkin pillow

R: 18 – Chgto, Green yarn, hdc in the 1^st st,
*fpdc in the next st, hdc in the next st*
Repeat From * to * around, join to the 1^st hdc, ch 1

R: 19 – R: 20 – Repeat R: 18, tie off leaving a 24 inch tail of yarn.

Flip pillow wrong side out, slst the top closed, tie off,

weave in your ends.
Turn Right side out, and, Stuff the pillow.

Join the orange yarn to the bottom corner of the pillow

and slst the bottom closed.
Weave in the ends securely.

Leaf And Stem:
Leaf -With Green yarn, ch 10, Sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook,
Sc in the next ch,
hdc in the next ch,
dc in the next 2 chs,
hdc in the next ch,
sc in the next 2 ch, slst in the last ch,
(2sc, hdc, 2dc, hdc, 2sc, slst)

Stem - Ch 10, sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook, 1 sc in each ch,
Tie off and attach to the top of the pumpkin.

Vine Curl - Ch 12, 3 hdc in the 2nd ch from the hook,
3 hdc in the each of the chs, attach to the base of the Pumpkin stem.
tie off and weave in the ends.
