Clip-On Poo Bag Keeper
Crochet Pattern
By Sara Sach of Posh Pooch Designs

Nothing drives me nuts more,
then people who do not clean up

after their dogs, when I am at the park.
If you walk your dog, and you should,
Then you need one of these.
You can use rolled up store bought dog poo bags
or use your plastic grocery bags.

Clip-On Poo Bag Keeper
You can clip it to your belt, clip it on your leash,
or clip it on your dog's collar and them carry it.

Radar's Doggie treats!

Radar The Weather Dog for Channel 6 News Oklahoma
Radar's Doggie Treats

1 box Jiffy Corn Bread mix
1 egg ( shell and all! )
1 pound liver ( drained )
1/2 Tsp Garlic Powder ( opt)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix all ingredients to baby food consistency. Pour batter evenly into a jelly roll pan or  two 9.5" X 11" baking pans sprayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 20 min, or until pick inserted comes out clean.  Cut treats into desired size. Break the treats apart. bake for another 15 minutes. Allow to cool and dry completely before storing in the frige.  Treats will keep up to a Week.

Every year The News on 6 , here in Oklahoma, puts out a Christmas circular with shopping ideas, coupons and recipes, this is the recipe that Radar The Weather Dog put in this years circular. I am going to try this as my pooches love liver treats.

Radar is a rescue dog from The Tulsa Animal Shelter. He is cute and sweet and its has been really fun to watch him since he joined the News on 6 team.

Learn how a weather star was born.
By Nick Bender, WARN Team Meteorologist

Radar as a puppy in the Shelter

"When we went scouting at the shelter for a weather mascot, there were lots of great dogs needing good homes. One stood out though - a little beagle mix who saw us coming and was turning himself inside out to get our attention.

To find the perfect pooch to help teach children and adults about severe weather safety, we enlisted the help of a local dog breeder and trainer, Susanne Shelton of Clickety Split Dog Training.

Thankfully, with good care from Susanne and the vet, Radar got over his initial hurdles and was able to make his debut at Trav's Wild Weather Camp last spring. He's learned about where to go in a storm, how to avoid flooded roads and lightning safety.

He's helping the WARN Team deliver those messages to school children all over Green Country. He's been staying sharp over the summer months and getting ready for next spring's weather camps.

He also shows up periodically on Six In The Morning to help Susanne answer questions about training and behavior. Recently he visited a Red Cross "Pet First Aid" class. Radar is a great ambassador, and he's always learning."
