Anniversary Cake Blanket Crochet Pattern

I purchased one of the New Anniversary Yarnspirations /
Caron Yarn Cakes From Michaels a few months back,
and thought is was perfect for making my hubby a new
blanket for his recliner.
The color is called "Bookclub". It has lots of browns,
blues, beiges and a pop of gold.
The Crochet Pattern is a altered Basket Weave Stitch.
That means it is similar but not exactly the same.
We stitch the Front Post Double Crochet on the Front,
but we do not stitch the Back Double crochet on the Back.
This gives the blanket a similar look and texture,
but a more flattened appearance.
It Stitches up really quick, because the stitch is fun,
but also we are using a super bulky (6) Yarn
