How To Make A Faux Fur Pom Pom | Posh Pooch Designs

How To Make Faux Fur Pom Poms
I have been seeing these Faux Fur Pom Poms
all over the Internet.  But mainly because
people are asking where to find them,
I Couldn't Find them either.
So, I decided to Make some, and show you how I did it.
It was quick and easy, and I love how they turned out.

See The Video on my Youtube Channel At This LINK

What You Need To Make Some Faux Fur Pom Poms:

1. Some Faux Fur - I purchased these At Hobby Lobby
I Found them over by the felt pieces.

2. A Circle Template - I made these with Poster board
    and a few Tupperware lids (3 inch-small, 5 inch-large)

3. Scissors - Fabric Scissors
4. Cotton Thread (10) to match the fur
5. A Needle - Large Eye
6. Sharpie  - any color, it won't show
7. Stuffing - about a handful or less

Let's Make A Faux Fur Pom Pom:
1. Make your Template by drawing your circle on the cardboard, then cutting it out.

2. Place the template on the back of the fur, and draw around the template. Cut out the fur circle.

3. Cut about a 24 inch piece of cotton thread and thread the needle, do not tie a knot.

4. Begin stitching around the edge of the circle, leaving about an 12 in tail of yarn at the beginning.

5. Once you have sewn around the the edge, and are back were you started, gently gather the circle closed.
Stuff the Circle, and the pull it closed.

6. Tie the 2 ends of the yarn securely. Do not cut the yarn ends, you can use those to attach the pompom to the hat.
 Back

Front

How To Attache the Pom Pom To The Hat:
Place the Pompom on top of the hat. Used a Crochet hook to pull the ends of the yarn tails through to the inside of the hat. One on each side. Tie securely to the inside of the hat.
You can add a dot of fabric glue to hold the knot if you like.
Now Make A bunch more!
See, it's easy and inexpensive!

Live Video - Front Loop, Back Loops of The Beginning Chain | Posh Pooch Designs

Live With Sara Sach of
Every Tuesday at 9:30 Am Mountain Time
This Week's Questions is,
"Is it a Front Loop, Back Loop or
 Top Loop?
And What's a Bottom Loop?"

See The Video on My Youtube Channel at This LINK

It's been discussed in a couple of the groups lately, and  I
received a couple of questions from some very confused
 and frustrated people.
This is what I learned many years ago, when I was first learning to crochet.
Which loops are which, depends on if you are crocheting into
the Beginning Chain or if you are crocheting into a Stitch.

This week we will be talking about
The Loops on the Beginning Chain.

The Beginning Chain and Loops -
The Loop closest to you is the Front Loop, the loop away from
 you is the Back Loop.
When you turn the chain over you will see the Bottom Bump or Bottom Loop.

Choose Love, Hate is too great a burden to bare.
