Dog Bone Rug and Pattern

Designing a dog bone rug is not as easy as it looks,
And there is math involved.
Okay I will be honest and say, "I am math challenged".
I can't even balance the check book!
Don't get me wrong, I am very smart, I just can't add!
But you just don't realize the amount of math skills it takes
to design a crochet pattern !
It even involves fractions!!!!!!!!!

The completed the Dog Bone Rug!  YAY!
I really do think it turned out so cool!
I love how all the colors of the yarns look.
It sort of reminds me of the braided rugs my grandma
used to have in her house.
As you can see the rug measures about 29 to 30 inches.
But it can be made bigger,
but that would include a lot more math.(yikes!)

Now to write down the pattern...
I mean I have all the math calcualtions,
the increases and decreases, stitches and chains,
but they are all in head!
Okay, here I go....................

You can find the Crochet Pattern at this link:
I really like the colors in this test Rug.

Maximo and His "Fancy Trim Dog Sweater" are published in a 2011 Calendar!

I looked up from making lunch for my hubby and the mailman was leaving a box at the door. I hadn't ordered anything, so I was surprised to see the label,  "To Posh Pooch Designs"!  The Box label read From "Simon and Schuster".  That is odd, that is a book company isn't it?  Okay, I will admit it, I tore open that box! Tape on the floor,  packing peanuts everywhere!

I was so excited to see this Calendar  for 2011 "Crochet 100 + patterns through out the year". Then I remembered I had submitted the pattern for the "Fancy trim Sweater", or Grinch Sweater as I call it, on a whim. I didn't think it was good enough for a calendar!   I guess it is!    Woof, Woof!
So here is maximo modeling The Fancy Trim Sweater !  Doesn't he look awesome! I guess he's a Calendar boy!  Woof!

This is a Super Uber Calendar, two or three crochet patterns a week! This Calendar  is compilied by Susan Ripley and all the patterns, including mine are copyrighted!
Look at all these patterns!  Bags, purses, baby things, dog things, hats, scarves, edgings, Ami, and jewelry! And alot more.

There is a pattern for every type of crocheter!
Start looking for these where you buy Calendar and get yours.

"Life is too Short, to live it Grumpy"!

"Life is too Short to Live it Grumpy". This a quote from my wonderful mom. She has always been, as long as I can remember, a very happy , up beat person. Life has given her a large dose of "troubles" but she has never let it get her down. Well. this last spring, mom was diagnosed with breast Cancer. She is 1/2 way through Chemo now.  Well I went to pick her up for her shot, (she gets white bloodcell shot the day after her chemo),  And this is how she was dressed to go to the Dr!
I just could not resist taking some pics and having a little fun with them...The many faces of Granny..In the Pink! She has 8 Great-grandchildren and only answers to Granny.  She is my hero!  Super Granny!

Oh and what a blessing...She had bought me a huge bag of yarn...She is quite the bargain hunter, too.

Labor Day Week-end Adventure!

My husband and I purchased a New RV, so we decided to take it for a test run over the labor Day Weekend. Maximo and Rosie were so excited..They knew something fun was going to happen.
Of course, I packed too much food, but off we went to Branson, Mo,  to the Ozark Country RV park. They has everything you could think of needing, A store, shower/laundry , a large pool, a large Pavillion, and  a library complete with pool table, puzzles and books!.. It even had a dog park!

We were so excited, a special park just for dogs to play, and poop! (Remember to always pick up after your pooches) They loved it!

We had a great spot, it was long enough to pull through with the car trailer. We pulled a trailor with our convertable, so we could drive around Branson. Every spot had a table and chairs and a grill, or you could go over under the big pavillion and use the gas grill. YUMMO!
And a great time was had by both human and furbaby!     Sniff, sniff........ I do smell barbeque!!!!!
