School is out, Summer Vacation has begun. 

Let's keep those kids busy.

What better way than to make these fun and

 easy necklaces.

Have you wanted to teach a child, grandchild or

 friend how yo crochet?

 This necklace is a great project to start with.

They are Not just for kids, 

They are for "kids" of all ages.

I love how these necklaces stitch up. 

I had so much fun making them, I just know you

 will also. You can use any medium (4) weight yarn

 colors of any fiber and any beads you like. 

Just make sure you can get your needle through the 

beads when the yarn is threaded.

I also love the Star pendent. 

Wouldn't this be super pretty with a sparkle

 or metallic yarn?

Star Pendent Beaded Necklace Crochet Pattern

Skill: Easy

 Materials:
Crochet Hook – H / 5 mm.
Yarn- Any Med (4) Weight any fiber 1 oz.
21 pony bead, and size that fits your yarn
Yarn Needle
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Pico Stitch (pcst)
 
Size:
Star Pendent - 2.5 inches
Necklace - 26 inches around
 
Notes: Have fun!
 
 
Pattern:

Star Pendent –

R: 1- Thread the needle, leaving yarn attached to the ball / skein,
Slide on 5 beads of choice, 

tie yarn in a circle, leaving a 5-6 inch yarn tail
(needed for the last bead)
 

pull yarn up ch1,
Sc between the 1^st 2 beads stitching around the yarn ring, Ch 2
*Sc between the next ^t 2 beads stitching around the yarn ring, Ch 2*
Repeat from * to * 3 more times, join to the 1^st sc, slst in the ch2 sp
(5 sets of sc, ch2)
 

R: 2 – Sc, dc, pcst, dc, sc In each of  the  ch2 sps,
Join to the 1^st sc, tie off.
 

Using the beginning tail of yarn and needle, thread on 1 bead.
Stitch the bead to the center of the star, weave in to the back.
Tie off the ends.
 

Beaded Necklace –
 
With Any yarn of your choosing and needle slide on the 16 beads,
Ch10 sliding the beads forward as we crochet,
*Slide 1 bead to the crochet hook, ch 5*
Repeat from * to * 6 more times
 

Ch2, slst through one of the points of the st, Ch2,
Remember the slide the unused beads forward till needed.

Repeat from * to * 8 more times, ch 10
Tie off, tie both ends of the ch, then tie them together.
