Fun Joy Bear Christmas Sweater Crochet Pattern. I am super excited to share this Crochet Pattern with you all.

The Christmas Sweater is a Simple construction that
you will enjoy stitching up. I designed mine in
Red and Green, but You can use any colors of your
choosing. I decided to add a simple snowflake to the
front of the sweater, you can use any applique of your
choosing, as well.
There are a lot of possibilities for this fun sweater.
Make it in school or sports teams colors.
Make it all one colors, or your favorite colors.
Use solids, Ombre or variegated yarn.
Use up some of your left over yarn and just
have fun with color. Add buttons, ribbons or any
embellishment you would like.

Crochet Hook – H/ 5mm
Yarn – Med. (4) Acrylic yarn 2 oz. Any Color 2 colors
C1 – red, C2 - green
Small
Amount of White For The Snowflake
Yarn needle

Single Crochet (sc)
Double Crochet (dc)
Slip Stitch (sl st)
Space (sp)
Skip (sk)
Change to (chgto)
Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC)
Picot Stitch (pct) ch3, slst in the 1st st
Size: Fits 18 Build A Bear style Bear

R: 1 – With C1, Ch 38, 1
dc in the 4th ch from the hook,
1 dc in the next 2 chs,
*dc, ch1, dc in the next ch, 1 dc in the next 8 chs*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times
dc, ch1, dc in the next ch, 1 dc in the next 4 chs, ch 3, turn, ch3
(32 dc, 4 Sets of dc, ch1, dc)
R: 2 - 1 dc in the next 4 chs,
*dc, ch1, dc in the next ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 10 dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times
dc, ch1, dc in the next ch 1 sp, 1 dc in the next 5 chs, ch 3, turn
(38 dc, 4 Sets of dc, ch1, dc)
R: 3 - 1 dc in the next 5 chs,
*dc, ch1, dc in the next ch1 sp, 1 dc in the next 12 dc*
Repeat From * to * 2 more times
dc, ch1, dc in the next ch 1 sp, 1 dc in the next 6 chs,
turn, ch 1 (48, 4 Sets of dc, ch1,

R: 4 - 1 sc in the next 7 sts, sc in the ch1, ch 6,
Attach to the front of the
bodice at ch1 space,
1 sc in each sc across front of sweater, ch 6,
join to dc in ch 1
space of back of bodice,
1 sc in the last 7 dc, turn, ch3
(8 sc, ch 6, 16 sc,
ch 6, 8sc)
R: 5 - 1 dc in each sc,
and in each ch around,
Join to the ch 3 with a slst, ch 3 (34dc)
R: 6 - 1 dc in each dc,
Join to the ch 3 with a slst, ch 3 (34dc)
R: 7 - R: 10 – Repeat R: 6
Add More Rows if longer sweater is wanted.
R: 11 – Chgto C2, 1 dc in
each dc around,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, ch3
R: 12 – *Dc in the next

Repeat from * to *around,
join to the ch3 with a slst and tie off
Sleeves –
R: 1 - With C2, Join to
the back of the arm, ch 3,
Evenly dc 18 dc around the
arm opening,
Join to the ch 3 with a
slst, ch3. (19 dc)
R: 2 – 1 dc in each dc
around,
Join to the ch3 with a slst, ch3
R: 3- R: 5 – Repeat R: 2
Ch1 after R: 2
Add more Rows if a longer sleeve is wanted.
R: 6 – 1 sc in each dc
around,
Join to the 1st
sc with slst, tie off.
Repeat R: 1 – R: 6 On the
other Arm opening.
Neck Trim and Ties – With C2, ch 12, join to the 1st dc on the
Right side of the neck of the sweater, sc in each dc around,
ch12, tie off.
Snowflake Applique -
R: 1- With White yarn, Ch
2 6 sc in the 2nd ch from the hook,
Join to the 1st
sc with a slst, ch 3 (6 sc)
R: 2 – Dc, ch1 in the 1st
sc,
*2 dc, ch1 in the next sc*
Repeat from * to * 4 more
times,
Join to the ch 3 with a
slst,
(6 sets of 2dc, ch1)
R: 3 – Sc between the next 2 dc, sc,
pct, sc in the ch1 sp,
* Sc between in the next 2 dc, sc,
pct, sc in the ch1 sp*
Repeat From * to * Around,
Join to the 1st
st with a slst, tie off leaving 12 in tail of yarn.
Place on the front of the
Sweater,
use the 12 inch tail of yarn and the needle to
sew in place.
Weave in all The Ends.
