Granny Square Flag Blanket by
Sara Sach of
I am so very happy how this blanket turned out.
The Squares were easy to crochet and It was
easy to put together.
The Blanket Measures about 42 X 42 Inches.
It's a great size For a lapghan or Throw. If
you want a larger Blanket, just make more
squares and make it as big as you want.

How To Make a Granny Square -LINK
The Granny Square will need 10 rows for a 12 inch Granny Square.
1 red, 1 white, 1 Gold and 2 Blue
Next, you will need to begin joining the squares together. I joined my Squares using Single crochet.

Make sure all your Flags are facing the same direction.
When Joining, I crocheted 3 squares together,
and another 3 squares together. After that,
I crochet the 2 rows of Squares together.

Use the Gold yarn For the trim.
Join yarn to one of the Corners, and continue to stitch the
Granny Square Style, Working all around the Out side of the Blanket.
Repeat for a second Row.
The last Row we will be stitching a modified Shell Stitch Row.
* 5 dc in the 1st ch2 sp, sc in the next ch2 sp,*
Repeat From * to * all Around the trim of the Blanket.
