The 2025 Year Long Crochet 

We are making a Home Wall Hanging and we are

 also making an applique for each month to add to it.

The Applique is also a magnet that you can put on

 your refrigerator.  That way if you really do not want

 to make the Wal hanging, You can still participate

 by making the monthly applique / Magnets.

Materials:
Crochet hook – H / 5mm.
Yarn- Med (4) Acrylic C1- orange - .5 oz.
                       C2- Small Amount of green,
                       C3 - Small Amount of Yellow/ black
Yarn Needle
Sticky back Felt
A Magnet or large pin
Hot Glue and Glue gun
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Half Double Crochet (hdc)
Change to (chgto)

 Size: 3 X 4 inches
 
Notes:
Ch1 does not count as a st
 
Pattern:
 R: 1- With C1 - Ch2, 3 sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook,
Turn, ch 1 (3sc)
 
R: 2 – 2sc in the 1^st sc, sc in the next sc, 2 sc in the last sc,
Turn, ch 1 (5sc)

R: 3 – 2sc in the 1^st sc, sc in the next 3sc, 2 sc in the last sc,
Turn, ch 1 (7sc)
 
R: 4 - 2sc in the 1^st sc, sc in the next 5sc, 2 sc in the last sc,
Turn, ch 1 (9sc)

R: 5 – 1 sc in each sc across, turn, ch 1 (9sc)
 
R: 6 - R: 8 – Repeat R: 5

 
R: 9 - Sc evenly, Turn working down the side, around the bottom,
Up the other side of the cup, slst in the 1^st sc, ch1

Turn back down the side, slst in the 1^st sc, ch5, sk 4 sc,
Slst in the next sc, 6 sc in the ch5 sp of the cup handle,
Join to the 1^st sc, tie off.

R: 10 – Join C2 to the 1st sc,  ch 5, 2 sc in the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th ch,
Join to the same sc with a slst,

Slst in the next sc ch 4, slst in the 2^nd, 3^rd and 4^th ch,

Sc in each sc across the top of the cup,

Tie off weave in the ends.

Stitch a pumpkin blossom using 4 Lazy Daisy sts and
A French knot for the center of the Pumpkin blossom.

With yellow/ Black yarn, Make 2 French knot for eyes and one for the nose.
Embroider on a smile.

                  C1- Rusty Orange, C2 Sage Green, C3 White
Decorative Leaf / Fall Button of Choice
Yarn Needle
Small Amount Of Sticky Felt for back of cup
Magnet/ pin
Hot Glue gun/ Glue
 
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Slip Stitch, (slst)
Single Crochet (sc)
Skip (sk)
Change to (chgto)

 Size: 3.5 X 3.5 inches
 
Notes:
Ch1 does not count as a st
 
Pattern:
 
R: 1- With C1, ch 5, sc in the 2^nd ch from the hook,
Sc in the next 3 chs, turn, ch 1 (4 sc)

R: 2 – 2 sc in the 1^st sc, sc in the next 2 sc,
2sc in the last sc, turn, ch 1 (6 sc)

R: 3 – 1 sc in each sc, turn, ch 1 (6 sc)

R: 4 - 2 sc in the 1^st sc, sc in the next 4 sc,
2sc in the last sc, turn, ch 1 (8 sc)

R: 6 – Chgto C2, do not tie off C1,
We will carry the yarn up the side.
Ch1, 2 sc in the 1^st sc, 1 sc in the next 4 sc,

Do not ch1 after R: 9

R: 10 – Chgto to C1, tie off C2,

Turn down the side and evenly sc,
Evenly sc across the bottom of the cup,
 and up the other side, join to the 1^st sc, ch1

Handle:
Turn working back down the side,
slst in the 1^st 2 sc, ch 6, sk 5 sc, join to the next sc,
slst in the next sc, 7 sc around the ch6,
join to the next st with a slst and tie off.

Optional - Whipped Cream –
Join C3 to the 1^st sc at the right top of the cup,
*sc in the sc, sk the next sc, 3 sc in the next sc*
Repeat from * to * 2 more times, sc in the last sc,
 Tie off weave in the ends.
 
Sew or Glue on Your button.
 
Cut and add your Stitcky Felt backing.
Glue on the magnet.

"April showers Bring May Flowers" 

was my inspiration. I designed a fun shape and striped

 it like a pastel rainbow. I added a cute button.

And I love it!

I am really enjoying designing these coffee cups or

 mugs. I am always looking for different shape 

ones for inspiration and have lots of fun ideas in mind.

 You can choose any colors you like, and stripe it

 in any order you prefer, or not at all. Add whatever button

 you have on hand. I found the umbrella buttons at Hobby

 Lobby in the scrap booking section. I also found the

 watering can button at Hobby lobby.

 Turn, back down the last side, slst in the 1st 3 sc,

Ch 8, sk 6 sc, join to the next sc with a slst,

Turn and st 8 sc around the ch8,

Join to the next sc with a slst, tie off.

Weave in all the ends.

Add Your button of choice.

 Cut the Felt to fit and place on the back of the cup,

Add pin / glue on magnet.
