Harmony Sample Blanket Crochet A Long Stitch 2 - The V Stitch

Stitch 2 in Our Year Long Crochet A long is the V Stitch.
The Last Monday of Each month we will learn 
a new crochet stitch and add it to Our Blanket.

Skill: Easy

Materials:

Crochet Hook – H/ 5.00 MM

Yarn- Worsted Weight (4) Colors of your choice

Yarn Needle

Stitches:

Chan (ch)

Single Crochet (sc)

Double Crochet (dc)

Skip (sk)

Space (sp)

Size: 25 X 25 inches
3 chs = 1 inch

Repeat for adjustment (3chs + 1 ch)

Remember if you added width to your blanket, you will need to adjust the pattern to fit.
You may need to add more or less dc at the beginning and end of R: 1

Notes:

Ch1 does not count as a sc.

Ch3 counts as a dc.

When changing colors at the end of a row, Ch1, or Ch3 AFTER the Color change.

R: 5 - We will be stitching a row of Double crochet Stitches -
ch3, 1 dc in the next 3dc,
* 2 dc in the next ch2 sp, 1 dc in the next 2 dc*
Repeat From * to * across row,
1 dc in the last 4 dc, turn ( 74dc)

R: 6 - Begin V- St Row -
Ch3, 1 dc in the next 3 dc,
 sk next dc, dc, ch1, dc in the next dc
* sk next 2 dc, (dc, ch1, dc) in the next dc*
Repeat From * To * across Row,
sk the next dc, 1 dc in the last 4 dc, turn ( 4 dc, 21 V Sts, 4 dc)

 R : 7 - 
Ch 3, 1 dc in the next 3dc,
*dc, ch1, dc in the next ch1 sp in the center of the 1st V st*
Repeat From * to * Across Row,
1 dc in the last 4 dc, turn (4 dc, 21 V Sts, 4 dc)

Repeat R : 3 for as many rows as you would like.
