If you prefer to make them from Cotton or Acrylic
you can use 2 strands held together.
Or 1 strand of cotton and 1 strand of Red Heart Scrubby Yarn Held together can be used, as well.

Materials:
Crochet Hook
- N/ 9.00 MM
Yarn - Bulky (5) Scrub-ology
Scrub it! By yarn Bee –
White C1, Fire Red C2 – 1 oz of each color
Or 2 strands of any
Med (4) yarn
Yarn Needle
with a large eye
Stitches:
Chain (ch)
Double
crochet (dc)
Slip Stitch
(slst)
Change To
(chgto)
Skip (sk)
Stitch (st)
Size: 5. 5 inches across
Notes:
Ch3 Counts
as a dc
Rounds are
joined to the ch3 with a slst
How To Change colors:
You will be changing colors every 2 dc for R; 1 and R: 2
Stitch the 1st dc
Beginning stitching the 2nd dc,
only go through the 1st 2 loops,
Change to the 2nd color,
And Pull it through the remaining 2 loops
Color change complete.
This makes nice neat color changes.
Pattern:
R: 1 – With C1,
ch6, join in a circle, Ch3, 1 dc in the circle,
*Chgto C2,
leaving C1 Attached, 2dc stitching over C1,
Chgto C1,
leaving C2 Attached, 2 dc stitching over C2*
Repeat From
* To * 1 more time,
Chgto to C2,
leaving C1 Attached, 2dc stitching over C1,
join using the same color, do not change to previous color, ch 3
(12 dc – 6 each of each color)
R: 2 – 1 dc
in the same st as the ch3,
*Chgto C2,
leaving C1 Attached, 2dc in the next dc, stitching over C1,
Chgto C1,
leaving C2 Attached, 2 dc in the next dc, stitching over C2*
Repeat From
* To * 4 more time,
Chgto to C2,
leaving C1 Attached, 2dc in the last dc stitching over C1,
join using the same color, do not change to previous color,
(24 dc – 12 each of each color)
R: 3 – With
C2, ch4, sk the next st, slst in the next st, ch4, remove hook, leaving a loop.
With C1, ch
4, cross in front and st a slst in the next st, ch4, remove hook, leaving a loop.
Put your hook
in the loop of C2, cross in front and st a slst in the next st, ch4, remove,
hook
leaving a loop.
With C1, ch
4, cross in front and st a slst in the next st, ch4, remove hook, leaving a loop.
Continue to
repeat around.
Join to the ch4 of the matching color.
To Form a hanging loop, ch 10, and join back to the ch4 with a slip stitch.
Tie off both colors and weave in your ends.
